Heat blazes in Yunhyeong's eyes when he directs his glare at me. He doesn't bother diffusing the fire with his body language; nostrils flaring, chest heaving like the ugly gorilla he is, and shakes an accusing finger on my face.

"I know you're too stupid for your own good, but do you have to put the ring in the drink, Junhoe?"

My lips curl in a sneer. Yunhyeong has his moments, but with every nonsense he's spurting from his mouth, he's nothing but a dimwit. Just because I'm always up to something doesn't mean I'm the one to blame for everything.

"I told you," I reply through gritted teeth, "I wasn't planning to propose to Chaeyoung."

The word dumbass almost slips from my tongue, not when a nurse passes by, pushing a tray of medical equipment. My nose crinkles. The hospital smell always disgusts me. It reminds me of Chaeyoung's checkups and I don't want that, especially not now.

Hyung doesn't notice the change in my demeanor. He shifts on the metal chair he's sitting at in front of me with a knot on his forehead. "What?"

I would've added, 'at least not now' to clarify but I still have the urge to call him names. Yunhyeong's a dumb idiot who's not listening to a word I say. It feels like I'm talking to a toddler, really. No matter how many times I explain it's not me, it's not getting through his head.

Exasperated, I lean my head on the wall and close my eyes. The uncomfortable chair I'm sitting at squeaks with the movement. Hopefully, Yunhyeong takes the hint I don't want to deal with his stupidity right now.

"Hey, Junhoe! I'm talking to you!"

"Ah, would you leave me alone?"

An unwelcome slap makes my thigh throb with pain. My eyes open in haste just to see Yunhyeong retrieving his hand away. He's now standing in front of me with a scowl. "You must be forgetting that I'm older than you. Fix your tone."

I sigh. Out of the people I have to be stuck with, it's this hyung. Why is he here anyway? He should've gone home instead.

"This is annoying," I mutter as I stand up. When I do, he backs up to give me space. A glare aimed at him and I see his face getting red, like a volcano about to blow off. I don't get it. He gets to act all understanding with the guys, but not me. Why is he punishing me for something I didn't do?
