Fact #1
If you read the earlier versions of this story, you may have encountered Chanyeol (+ Kai and Sehun), and Jaehyun. They were 'villains' in certain moments of the couple's lives. [I could've listed Eunwoo but I never meant to write him as the 'villain'; just his actions could be understood from another perspective]
After my long break, I reread the chapters and discovered that it was too cruel for me to give them those roles. I was torn between revising and unchanging it and that inner tussle, coupled with guilt, discouraged me from coming back to finish this story.
I didn't have any personal vendetta against them (since they're popular Rosé ships). They were used because I disliked using OCs so much. As much as possible, I put idols whenever I can. iKON or WINNER would've been used but because of a future project I'm planning, it's awkward on my part to use them as Chaeyoung's love interests (and also because they already appeared).
Outside of YG, I don't know any idols much so I use idols who are connected with Rosé one way or another. In the process, it made me blind that I was hurting multi-ships. Back then, I just saw them as pawns to move forward with the story. It didn't occur to me that some of you are shippers of them as well. From the bottom of my heart, I'm really sorry. That was a lesson learned. I'll make it up in the future!
Fact #2
'My Boyfriend' is inspired by a short Korean series on Youtube called, 'Love Playlist' (Playlist Global channel). This is the exact episode that inspired me to write this book.
I mentioned this once before in a deleted end note. If you watch the series, you can see bits and pieces of inspiration I incorporated in this book. It's highly recommended you watch it!
Also, I wanted to write a 'timeless' concept. Not necessarily in a 'classic' way (that'll be too much for me to claim), but more of, even if you already read it, you can still go back to it. You know, without being stressed about the plot.
+ You can say I draw inspiration from the overall mood of 'Friends' and 'Brooklyn Nine-Nine', with a loose 'interconnection' of the chapters.
