Is It Okay If You Call Me T? - Adopted By Sabrina Carpenter

Chapter 7

Back at home, I'm in my room, packing up my belongings. My clothes go in my suitcase, along with Sadie 2. Sadie 2 is a bear Sadie gave me when she first became my care worker 7 years ago. I named the bear after her because Sadie was always there helping me. I carefully take down my wall of Sabrina, and put everything in a plastic folder, which I put on top of everything else in my suitcase. I put my phone in my backpack with my box set of boy meets world. I glance around my empty room, to make sure I haven't missed anything. Nope, I've got everything. I sling my backpack onto my back, and lug my suitcase down the stairs. Suzy, Richie, Polly, Quinn and Sadie are waiting at the front door. I place my backpack and suitcase on the floor, and pull Polly and Quinn into a massive bear hug. I kiss the tops of their heads and tell them I'll visit when I can.
"Be a good boy for Mummy, yeah?" I say to Quinn. He nods his head and holds my hand tight.
"Whenever you wanna talk, I'll be here as quick as possible, right?" I say to Polly.
"Yeah." She says quietly, and puts her arms round my waist.
I hug Suzy and Richie, and they tell me I can come and visit whenever I like, and then I pick up my backpack, Sadie gets my suitcase, and we leave. As the car pulls away, Polly and Quinn wave from my old bedroom window.

When we get there, my legs are stiff from sitting down for so long, and my hair is a mess. Sadie takes one look at me and points me in the direction of the bathroom. I smile gratefully, and head into the bathroom to fix myself up. I put my hair into a quick ponytail, and dab on some concealer under my eyes, blending it with my ring finger - my brushes are in my suitcase.

After I find my room, and I've put everything in drawers, I start on putting my Sabrina wall back up, and Sadie come in.
"Wait!" She says. "You can paint your room whatever colour you like, so I wouldn't put those up yet."
"I like it how it is," I reply. "I don't really want to change it."
"Oh." Sadie says. "Okay. I'll tell Mike."
"Who's Mike?" I ask.
"The head care worker here, so if you have a problem you can go to him." Sadie replies.
"Okay." I say.

After putting all my stuff where it need to go, I ask Sadie who'll take me to the final of the competition.
"Probably me or Mike, but I can ask if Suzy and Richie can do it if you like? I'm not promising anything but-"
"Can you take me?" I interrupt.
"Well....if you're sure you don't want Suzy and-"
"I'm sure." I interrupt her again.
"Okay then. It's in 4 days, right?" She asks.
"Yep." I reply.
"Listen, I know care home can get a but noisy, so if you ever want somewhere quiet to practise, you can always come to my office." She suggests.
"Thanks Sadie, Sadie 2 appreciates it." I say, pulling the bear from my suitcase.
"You still have her!" She exclaims.
"Yeah, I couldn't bear to get rid of her." I laugh.
"Nice pun." Sadie giggles.
"Why, thank you." I say.
We talk for a bit, but Sadie leaves, and I'm alone, listening to Sabrina like usual.
