"But we're going to agree now." Sabrina continues.
"Sabs......" I hiss.
"I would like you to think of me as a sort of mother figure, and also a friend. Because although I adopted you, we're only 4 years apart, and I know that kinda complicates things. But there you are. Mom and friend. Okay?" Sabs says.
"Okay." I say, reaching for her hand across the table. Sabs stands up and pulls me into a hug.
"3, 2, aaanndd 1." She whispers. Jake comes across to us, and I release Sabs from the hug.
"Hi Theresa. Hi, um, Theresa's Mom/friend." He says.
"I'm Sabrina." She says confidently. "But I think I'll just go check on the bikes."
Sabs leaves and Jake looks at me.
"Hi." I say awkwardly.
"Hi. I might have jumped to some conclusions a few minutes ago. But I was wondering if I could get you number?" He asks.
"Sure. It's xxxxx xxxxxx." I say. He taps it into his phone.
"I'll text you." He says. Did he wink at me as he walked away?
I walk outside and Sabs is leaning against the bike rack.
She grins and stands up as I walk towards her.
"Let me guess, he gave you his number?" She asks.
"Yup." I respond.
"He so likes you..." she tells me
I look at her out of the corner of my eye, and feel my cheeks become hotter.
"Shut up."
First of all, I'm so sorry that I haven't been updating for so long!! I was having trouble with creativity and I'm beginning to think I'm going to stop updating and finish the story. Also this chapter is short and I'm sorry about that! Please vote! x
