Flashback: Queen's POV
My husband, King Lynk (Pronounced as Link) and I, Queen Lilac were talking to our closet friends. King Ramen and his wife, Queen Rose, they were the royals of the second largest kingdom behind my husband and I. Also in the room was our head guard, Sir Phillips. He was the strongest and loyalist guard. We trust him with our lives. My husband and him were great friends from young age. Our children were playing in the room, which was a small library, while we were all talking in the dining room. We were talking about a threat that would affect our world. The Beast has risen and would destroy everything in its path to take over our precious lives. We had to think of a way to stop it, even if it came to war.
"The Elf kingdoms are strong, but if the Beast does return, it will others against us. Such as trolls- they are second biggest threats on any regular day." Yes, trolls existed in this magical dimension. Trolls are terrible creatures, they would capture Elfs and ripped their ears off. They thought that Elfs ears could be used in healing potions and thought the ears of Elfs were pretty tasty too. In reality, Elf ears had no such power. Also other creatures that you would never think existed. Such as flying horse, known as pegasus. Other sweet creatures existed, but we were worried about the ones that Elfs didn't get along with, we feared they would side with The Beast.
"We have to find a solution to this, I fear for all of us." My husband said firmly staring at everyone in the room. I know he was over worked and just wanted to find a way to stop this. I grabbed his hand and rubbed it slowly.
"We will find a solution to this. For our people. For the kingdom Elfin and for the future of this world." I said confidently.
"I agree completely. My wife and I will be by your side until the end. I swear." King Ramen says, while looking at his wife and back at my husband and I. We nodded in understanding. All we heard glass breaking and our children screaming in the next room. We all look at each other then quickly left the large table and headed for the door. Sir Phillips, my husband and King Ramen left the room first and ran to the next room. Rose and I follow behind, moving as fast as we could, pulling our beautiful dresses up a little. When we reached the room, the sight was heart breaking. Ramen's son is holding his knees to his chest crying. When he see his mother he runs over to her. She keeps him up and cradles him and kisses him. He's four years old and hangs into his mother's shoulder and sobs quietly. The glass window in the room is broken and the big bookshelf was now on the floor with books thrown all over. The chandelier is swinging back and fourth, while a table was flipped upside down and broken chair pieces were everywhere. I realized I don't see my daughter. My heart immediately is filled of pain.
"Zakiah!?" I yell and walk more into the room. My husband goes over to the broken window and looks out of it.
"Mommy! Daddy!" We both are at the window and see our daughter. She's being carried by a four legged creature in its mouth.
"My daughter has been stolen, I want everyone out in those woods now!" My husband screams and Sir Phillips leaves the room to inform the other guards. My husband leaves the room and I follow behind, I know exactly what he's going to do. He goes to our room and pulls out his sword.
"I will be back, my dear." I grabbed his wrist as he tries to leave to the room.
"I am coming." He immediately shakes his head and slides out of my grasp, but I grabbed again. Tears are running down my face now.
"That is also my child. My child will be saved by her mother and father. Please Lynk, my precious.." He sighs and kisses me on my forehead and we are now running down the hall, towards outside. Once outside, a guard comes running to us, he jumps from his horse and approaches us.
"Sir we spotted the princess. She's being carried by a Mad Deer." I gasp, by hearing the creature. A Mad Deer, is a Deer that is highly dangerous and has a killer bite. Its bite is filled of paralyzing fluid, which is used when it feels threatened. It's horns have a sharp edges to them and can kill someone from a couple of stabs from it.
"Give me your horse." My husband says. The guard, of course, gives his horse to his king. After helping me up, with a whip of the harness, we're off into the woods.
"I'm coming my sweet child." That's all I thought while riding in the dark forest. We were called out and when we slowed down, it's Sir Phillips.
"Over here, I have spotted the creature." And with that he rides off fast and we follow. We spot the Mad Deer and begin the chase. It's runs pretty fast but our horses are keeping up. Suddenly Sir Phillips pulls out a dagger from his left leg harness and aims it at the Mad Deer. It falls roughly on to the fall, releasing my sweet child. Before the creature return to its feet, Sir Phillips kills it with his sword. I run to my daughter. She's unconscious and has a few bruises to her.
"Oh my child.. please be okay." I whisper to her and hug her. I pick her up and make my way back to our horses. My husband comes from behind me and kissing our sleeping daughter's temple. Suddenly we realized where we are.
We are at a place that has not been walked on by many, for a long time. The Ports To The Greater Lands. A long time ago, there was a war. And Elfs feared for their lives, the elders created a portal that meant Elfs could leave and start new, living along with humans. But we stopped using the port once the war ended and peace was restored.
"Why was my daughter kidnap?" I say, pain pouring out of me. My necklace that was around my neck began feeling hot. My necklace held my power in it. Based on your physical and mental strength, determined how your power worked and the necklace felt. And right now, with this anger and confusion in me, I could certainly kill right now. Yes, my husband was strong and intimidating, but when I was upset you would have to be beware of me. I think I even scared my husband sometimes. All Royals had necklaces around their neck, they were passed down from generation to generation.. since Lynk and I had the strongest kingdom, are necklaces had great power. His was blue while mine was a ruby red. Even my little princess, had one. She couldn't use it yet, but she had a light purple one, it was shaped in a diamond. Suddenly a loud yet cold laugh erupted from the woods. Sir Phillips, my husband and I looked around to see where the laugh had come from. That's when the trees began shaking and then there appeared The Beast. He was known to be huge, but right now he was the size of us. He looked like a normal man, he was shirt less, showing his muscles. He had black pants on too but he had black horns coming out of his head. His skin was red with fiery eyes. He had long sharp claws. Well now that I'm looking at him, saying he was a normal looking man would be a lie.
"Hello King and Queen of Elfin. It seems you have something that belongs to me." He said and pointed to my sleeping child. I stepped behind my husband.
"She's not yours, you beast!" I say coldly.
"Why are you trying to take our child." Lynk says while pulling his sword from his harness and holding looking at The Beast.
"That little one, is going to cause me many problems when she grows up. I must destroy the source of my problem, so my plans can work perfectly." A wicked smile appears on his face. Sir Phillips was about to challenge the beast, but Lynk held him back.
"You will not be harming my daughter." Lynk said raising his sword now.
"She's not only your daughter, she's the chosen one. That will fight me." I was shocked. There has been a prophecy that The Beast will rise and the chosen one will be called out to defend their world. The Chosen one will be everyone's last hope, but will only appear when needed.
"She's only a child." I spit out, I refuse to believe this monster.
"She is still a threat, I have to destroy her before she fulfills her potential." And with that he starts running towards us.
"Lilac run-" my husband yells. The Beast reaches him, knocking his sword out of his hands. They are now wrestling onto the ground throwing punches at each other. From all the ruckus, the horses ran off. I have no way to get away. I was about to run into the small building where the portals are, when I see Sir Phillips knocking The Beast off Lynk. Sir Phillips was about to attack when Lynk yelled out.
"Take my wife and run." Sir Phillips froze.
"I can not leave my king.. or my friend." While helping Lynk, and handing him a sword.
"My dear friend please, my child is in danger." And with that Lynk ran into the forest towards The Beast.
"Sir Phillips follow me." I yell out and he runs towards me.
"My Lady, I must get you to safely." He says and tries to pull me in the opposite direction.
"No, I have a idea. I would not ask you if I didn't trust you with my life and my child." I pull him into the building where the portals are.We reached a room with a rock formation. There was steps leading to tall rocks that were in a circular shape and in the middle of it was various lines, going in different directions.
"Hold her." I turn and hand him Zakiah.
"Queen please I have to get you out of here." He begs me and I silence him with my hand. I step up on to the stairs and there's a small rock right in front of me. I remove my necklace from my neck and insert it in a crack that's in the rock. Suddenly the room is light up by my necklace. In the center of the tall rock formation a red might leaks through the cracks.
"Come." I say and he is still shock but walked up the steps towards me. We face each other, he has a confused look on his face.
"This portal will lead to the humans world. Please take care of my daughter." I say trying my best not to cry. He looks against it, but knowing I will not change my mind he nods. I kiss my beautiful sleeping child on her head.
"When will I know when to bring her back?" He asks me.
"She is the chosen one, she will find a way back." I rub her head gently. I hugged my friend, and walked down the stairs a little. He was about to walk through the portal when suddenly The Beast returns.. where's my husband? With a lift of his hand, it stretches towards Phillips and my daughter. Phillips turned around and cuts The Beast's hand with the sword. And jumps in the portal. The Beast is holding his hand in pain. He's weak. He looks at me, and hissing before running out of the room, back outside into the forest.
"Goodbye my precious Zakiah. Until we meet again." I get my necklace back and head outside I must find my husband."Lynk!" Lynk!" I must find him. Suddenly I see him emerge from the woods, he's bleeding from his head. I run to him and hug him tightly.
"Where's Phillips and our child?" I look up at him and tell him. At first he looks hurts but he understands and nods. He then Mind-linked people from the palace to come get us. (A/N: you know how wolves can mink link each other, yeah they can too but only people from the palace as them.) We sit down on the ground and wait until help comes. I look back at the small building. Until we meet again. It's been thirteen years since I seen my precious daughter. We thought she would've have come back a few years ago, but she hasn't returned. A few days after Sir Phillips and my daughter went through the portal, he returned half alive. Apparently The Beast harmed him from the last encounter. My little daughter ended up getting hurt a little but Sir Phillips used his energy to heal her. He didn't have enough for himself though. He said he put a spell on her to hide her ears so she wouldn't be discovered as an Elf. He said that the portal even disappeared, he died a few hours after he told my husband and I everything. He told us that he used his power to find a suitable place for her to grow up and he believed she will learn who she is and return. The Prophecy says that we'll now when it's time to receive her, when the portal reappears. The war has been going on for since my daughter has left. Some people are doubting the kingdom of Elfin, but I do not blame them. People couldn't believe what happened that day and have blamed me for this war. But I will not let them get to me. I believe my child will come back and fight for her home. She's is the Elfin Princess and she'll make us proud.
