I wake up in my chambers and I feel completely sore and tired. I was chosen by the Gods apparently, which means my journey has begun. I was about to sit up when I heard a familiar voice.
"I don't think you should do that, you might have a terrible headache." When I looked to my left, I see Aiden. He still looks mean, but I see a bit of concern on his face.
"Oh.. okay.. um how long have I been sleeping?" He takes the washcloths that was on my forehead and places it in some water and squeezing it out.
"For about three hours, its nearly sunset." I look toward the balcony, the sky was turning a mixture of yellow, orange and red. I've been here for a whole day and a lot happened.
"I hear the tree accepted you as The Chosen One.." His face tenses up a little.
"Uh yeah. I'll my try best and hardest to save everyone, I promise." I tighten my fist and say my words with confidence.
"How can you save us.. if you're always passing out? Do you even know how to use your power yet or use a sword?" He said sharply. It hurt, I lowered my fist and didn't say anything. He sighed and started to walk out the room.
"Aiden.." he turns and faces me.
"Yes Princ-"
"Stop with the princess stuff right now." I was getting annoyed with him now. "Look, I don't know what I did to you, but I said sorry. How about you tell me what I did so I can make it up to you, instead of you giving me nothing but smart remarks and slick comments because you hate me. I'm trying to help." I stared right at him and for once he looked sad. Huh? He looked down at the ground then back at me.
"I do not hate you, Princess.. I just.." You just what?! Before I could even say anything he exited my room. He is a strange one indeed. Which means, he's someone that has a story. And I sure do wanna know. I sit up slowly and smell something really smelly. Oh its me.. I laugh a little then get up from bed. I walk over to the bathroom and enter. It was really a nice bathroom, the walls matched the rest of the room. It had everything a normal bathroom had, I was happy to know they had functional toilets. Yeah I've been studying on my Elfin history. I didn't know everything though, not yet at least. Apparently years ago, Elfs were able to go to the human and got a few ideas. I laugh quietly then got undressed and take a well needed shower. I wrapped myself in a comfortable and soft towel and headed out of the bathroom. I went over it my closet and looked for something to wear. After a few minutes, I had a acceptable outfit. I would've have gone home, but I learned using my essences even for teleportation can't drain my powers. I had a white long sleeve shirt, that fit my body nicely. Then had black skinny jeans on with my white bunny slippers on. My hair was down, tucked behind my right ear. I was done for the day, so now I just wanted to explore and even learn some information. I headed to the kitchen.

As I walked in, I saw Autumn preparing food. She was alone and seemed really focused so I thought why not surprise her. I snuck up behind her and whispered 'boo'. It resulted in her almost dropping the tray of food.
"Oh Princess, you almost scared me after to death." I laugh.
"Sorry." I was still laughing. "You should've seen your face though." She still look unamused at first but then slowly laughed along with me. She shook her head after getting the laughter out.
"Here's your food, I was going to being it to you shortly." I take it from her and sit down at the island. She made some type of meat and rice. After tasting it, I realized it was something I had before.
"I was told you enjoyed the deer meat, so I made you some." She gave me a smile. "My mother cooked it at the party, but I wanted it try. I hope you like." She watched me pick up my fork and stabbing the deer meat and placing it in my mouth. I love it.
"Mmmm.. its great Autumn. I think it even tastes better now then at the party." We laugh again.
"I'm glad you like it, Renee." My head jerks up from my plate when I hear her say my name. I a small smile appears on my face. She turns to the sink and begins to wash some dishes, humming a sing to herself.
"Hey Autumn?.." I say placing down my fork.
"Yes?" She says looking over her shoulder.
"Do you know anything about Aiden.. Aiden Phillips?" She turned facing me completely, with a sad look on her face.
"Do you remember him?" She says while sitting across from me.
"What do you mean?"
"As a young child.. do you remember him?" I thought for a while. I know William and I would hang out when I was young, but Aiden and I? That would be hard to believe, especially since he doesn't like me.
"No, I don't.. should I?" She nods.
"After I tell you this, you should go to the library and learn more to understand." I nod and she clears her throat.
"Aiden Phillips is the son of Luis Phillips. He was a head guard of this palace a very long time ago, but he ended up dying. But before he died he was admired by all the citizens of Elfin, he had a lovely wife too and was a friend to the king and queen. But the person who admired him was his son. Aiden." I slowly take everything in. "Aiden wanted to be like his father so badly. But one day, thirteen years ago, something terrible happened which resulted in Sir Phillips missing for a couple of days. When he finally returned to the palace, he was on his death bed. His son, Aiden and his wife were devastated." I felt my eyes watering up. He lost his father.
"Years and years Aiden would train to fill in his father's footsteps, but his mother refused. She was afraid he would also be killed, she was afraid. He obeyed his mother wishes. Since the king and his father were friends, the king tried his best to help them out but his mother refused. She had changed dramatically. Without her husband and she refused Aiden to work in the palace, they struggled. It's not until the queen offered a servant job to them. They had no choice but to accept and for thirteen or twelve years, he's been here working for the palace. When he first came, he was caught over the years a few times training, which made his mother furious, but he stopped and just did his job. I believe he secretly wanted to be like his father and be head guard or at least be a guard rather than a servant." I realized I'm crying, I wipe the tears away from my face. Then a question pops into my head.
"Why would I remember Aiden?"
"Oh.. because his and your parents were close, you two would hang out. Especially more than you and William, since you and Aiden were from the same palace. There was even a joke your parents and his parents would joke around and say.." she laughed to herself.
"What was it?"
"That you two would get married, when you got older." My face went into shock. Me and Aiden? Married? No way.. I mean he's attractive but me and him, I can hardly even imagine him smiling. Autumn thought this was hilarious.
"You should've seen your face." And she laughs harder.
"Ha ha.. very funny. Now what about the library?" She relaxed and continued.
"Oh yes.. if you wanna know why Aiden treats you that way. Go to the library and look for a book called "The Past Of Guards From Elfin" it's a magically book. You say the name of the guard and the book fills up information about the person. Remember, Luis Phillips." I nod and repeat the name to myself. I finish eating my food and tell Autumn I'll see her later. I head off to the library.

I walk into a a small library. It has a beautiful chandelier above my head. There's a small table with chairs around it. Then straight ahead there's a glass window. The room feels familiar to me.. have I been here before? I think I have. I feel something, I brush it off and walk over to a bookshelf and start looking. After about twenty minutes, I sit down on the chair at the table, frustrated. I can't find the book anywhere.
"Where is "The Past Of Guards From Elfin" book!?" I yell suddenly, I quickly slap my hands over my mouth. Suddenly my necklace starts lighting up, purple fuz? starts leaving it. What's going on? Suddenly I realized its leading me somewhere, I get up from the chair and follow it. That's when it leads me to a bookshelf I searched already, my essence is floating in front of a particular book. I pull it out and look at it. It's a black book, it doesn't even have a title or anything.
"Hmm.. I guess this is it huh?" I ask that and suddenly my purple essence seeps back into my necklace. I didn't know I could do that. I walk back to the table and open the book. Just like Autumn said, It's completely blank. I close the book.
"Luis Aiden." I open the book again and there's a lot. I skim through the pages, reading about his childhood a little. Apparently he was the middle child and the only boy. He had four sisters, who are still alive somewhere in the world. I keep flipping pages until I see "The Death Of Luis Phillips". I start reading, ready for anything.

The Princess Of Elfin was kidnap by a Mad Deer, a dangerous creature, when the princess of Elfin and the prince of Dawn were playing in a small library together. It was chased on horse, by the King and Queen and Sir Phillips. After killing the Mad Deer, the king and queen were reunited with their daughter, Zakiah Romane.

That's me.. he saved me huh? I continued reading.

That's when the four of them were greeted by The Beast. King Lynk decided to challenge him while his wife, child and friend got away. But the queen had another plan. They were on the ground where the portals were. The queen pulled Sir Phillips in the buildings and activated the portals using her necklace. She gave her daughter to Sir Phillips and trusted him to take care of her. Sir Phillips and the sleeping princess were about to go through the portal when The Beast entered the room and attacked. Sir Phillips was able to deflect a hit, but was injured. As well as the princess, she apparently was hit on her left shoulder.
They continued through the portal and Sir Phillips was barely able to stand. He wandered and wandered, until he sensed something warm. He used his energy and teleported to the tenth floor of a building. Some believe, he sense the warmth coming from a home, which made him leave the princess there. He knew she would be safe. He realized she had been hurt and used his energy to heal her. He carried the three year old to the door and knocked three times. He rested her down on the ground and kissed her forehead. He slowly walked down the hallway. He had to return to the kingdom. So he conjured enough power to get him home. And as soon as the door was open Sir Phillips was gone. He made it back to Elfin and was able to informed the queen and king. Unfortunately he passed a few hours later, in the arms of his wife, Serenity and his only son Aiden.

I closed the book. Oh my.. I didn't know what to think. His father saved my life. Is that why he hates me? His father died because of me. I looked at my left shoulder and slid my shirt down a little. There was a scar, I always thought it was a birthmark.
"Princess?" I was startled by LeTar's voice. I didn't even hear him come in.
"Oh hi." I say standing up, holding the book behind my back.
"What are you doing in here?" Uh.. what am I going to say?
"I suggest you say the truth." My eyes widen in surprise, I totally forgot about the "I can read mind" thing. I sigh.
"I was learning about Aiden's dad, Sir Phillips." I pull the book in front of me. "Aiden and I haven't gotten along. It seemed like he hated me, so I asked around and heard about this book... I guess I found out why he doesn't like me." I look down to the ground.
"Why was it important for you to know why he did not have a strong liking to you?" It takes me a second to understand what he said.
"Well because I heard we used to be friends when we were younger. I wanted to know what happened and plus when I first met him.. I felt something." LeTar thinks for a minute, then lets out a deep laugh. That's probably the first time I ever heard him laugh, he even smiled.
"I see your destiny, will be very interesting, Princess." I look at him, what does he mean?
"Anyway, Princess. You must return home tonight, you have studies tomorrow." Studies? Oh he meant school. I nodded and he escorted me to my room.
"Goodnight LeTar."
"Goodnight Princess. Oh and if you want to make amends with Aiden. Talk to him, he is a kind boy." I nod and with that I close the door and get my things. Back home here I come.
