(A/N: listen to the song Fight Song By Rachel P. I think it helps this chapter)
And with that, I whipped the harness and took off into the forest. I could hear them calling me, but continued riding I need to get away. I rode the horse into the forest and slowed down. I notice some trees had red markings on them and some arrows stuck in them. I guess this is where the guards train using their bows.
"Are you ready?" I rub the horses neck softly. "Don't stop until I say so okay? Wait. Let's give you a name." I think for a second then snap my fingers.
"How about Majesty?" The horse makes a sound, so I'll guess that's a yes. "Alright Majesty, don't stop until I say." And with that I whipped his harness and we're off in the forest. I pull up my bow and arms for the targets, hitting them dead on. I aimed to my left and hit another one, aimed to my right and hit another target. That's when I saw at the corner of my eye I missed one, I leaned back on Majesty's back aimed upside down. I took a breathe and let the arrow go and hit it right in the middle.
"Woah we did it Majesty!" I yell out and laugh. I grabbed his harness again before falling off. I pulled my sword out and held it in my right hand. We were running next to a small river, I leaned down and let my sword slice the top of the water. Majesty was running fast and the forest was moving fast past us. That's when I saw a hole coming up.
"Do you think you can make it boy?" He makes a noise and pumps his legs faster, the hole is coming up.
"Jump Majesty." And with that he does, we're in the air for a couple of seconds then he lands perfect. I can't help but let out a laugh and a victory scream. He continues running and I notice there are some dummies lined up. I tighten the grip on my sword, when we past by the first one I slice it, knocking it down. I knock the next one down as well. I swing to my left and right, making sure every dummy is hit. Majesty picks up speed and on my last swing I miss. I turn slightly and pull out my small dagger and throw it towards the dummy. It hits the dummy right in the head and I slide my sword back in my harness, then continue riding Majesty. My necklace begins glowing, suddenly when I look behind us there's small flowers blooming. I raise my head to look up, I stare at the sky and the leafs above my head. The sky was a friendly light blue with white puffy clouds moving across the sky. The weather is sunny but had a cool breeze, but right now it feels perfect and I ride Majesty until I realized we left the training grounds and that were out of the borders of Elfin.
"Good job boy. Alright let's rest." And he begins to slow down. When he finally stops, I jump off and walk to the front of him and pet him. He places his head on mine.
"Thank you Majesty." I place a kiss his on head. I stare at him and he lowers his head to me. Did a horse just bow at me? I smile and rub his head. "Good boy Majesty."
