I opened the door to my apartment with more force than necessary and dumped my luggage in the hallway. It was quiet but I could hear the mumbling of voices coming from the living room. Four pairs of eyes looked up at me, each with a separate emotion. With my hands on my hips, I glared at the two who stared at me with fear.
"What the f*ck happened?" I said, with silent anger.
"I'm having a baby," May muttered, looking at the ground.
"I get that but how? Ace, did you even think of using protection?"
His own eyes narrowed at me. "Of course."
"So how did you manage to get her pregnant?" I exclaimed. "Did you even want to be pregnant?"
"Ash, I get that you're upset but it's fine. We're happy." May gave me a soft smile.
"Are you sure? Because I won't hesitate to kill my brother for you seeing as he can only think with his d*ck."
"Why are you so upset about this? Can't you just be happy for once?" Ace snapped. "Is it because your boyfriend dumped you?"
My face flushed with anger. "He didn't dump me." He, more or less, told me to stay away from him, his departing words being, "I'll call you".
"I think he did," my brother goaded. "Were you even together?"
I began moving towards my brother to show him what my fists thought about him but Liam and Diana got between us. "That's enough," Diana said. She looked at me for a moment. "Are you okay?"
Stepping out of her grasp, I gave her a fake smile. "I'm good."
She continued staring at me then gasped. "Did you sleep with Ethan?" she whispered in disbelief.
"How the f*ck did you know?" I grumbled. "And yes, I did but it was a one time thing."
"I'm your best friend. I can tell. Was he good?" She asked before dragging me into my bedroom. Her eyes were wide and it looked like she was waiting with anticipation to hear details of my sex life. I turned red from the thought of what happened.
"Private information but yeah," I sighed. Diana squealed, clapping her hands.
"It's like Fifty Shades of Grey."
"There are no whips involved."
"For now."
"Forever, Diana. He didn't even seem bother by what happened."
She paused. "Oh."
"It's like I was just another chick to bang," I grumbled, flicking off imaginary lint.
She put her arms around me. "His loss. You can always end things with him. I don't care about the money. I care about you."
"I'll be fine. I made a deal with him so I'll survive." And by survive, I meant stay away from him.

It's a shame that hiding from a billionaire is slightly impossible. Two weeks passed and I hadn't heard anything from Ethan and I stopped caring. Instead, I went to work, annoyed Tash and made plans with May about the baby. We were in the middle of a conversation about naming the child while wiping the tables in the café when the bell jingled, indication someone entering.
I looked up to find the hazel eyed billionaire glaring at me. Now, what had I done?
Tash walked up to him, hiding her devil like personality and smiled. "Mr. Holt, welcome. Would you like a table?"
"No," he said bluntly. "I need Ashley."
I could see Tash grit her teeth. "What for, may I ask?"
"She's now working for my company."
I stood straighter. I didn't think his dad was serious. Tash laughed. "You can't be serious? Her?"
The room seemed to become colder as Ethan stared at her without humour. "Do I look like a man who would come to a tiny café just to make a joke?"
"No, but you can't just take her. She's working-"
"Here's her letter of resignation."
Tash took the envelope in shock. Ethan's eyes connected with mine and seemed to force me to walk towards him. He turned then walked out of the café, leaving behind the furious she-devil. Once we entered his car, I exploded.
"Ethan, you need to stop f*cking doing this. You can't wonder wherever you f*cking feel like and make decisions for me. That was my job," I hissed.
His eyes rolled. "That's a job?"
"Yes, Ethan, it is. Not all of us are CEOs. Now, take me back."
"I would. Trust me. However, my father expects you to work in the company and just imagine his shock when he came in today to find you not there. So he forced me to go and get you."
"Tell him I'm happy with my current job," I argued.
"You tell him." He opened his door and I realised we were at the tall building that was Holt Enterprise. I felt out of place as I wore a simple black skirt and a white shirt, that had seen better days, among people who were wearing clothes that were worth three of my paychecks. But Ethan had something that separated him from the rest, whether it was his confidence which the men envied or the body which made girls stare, you could tell he was the CEO.
I followed after him as he entered the elevator. We didn't exchange any words and I wondered whether Ethan's father would notice the slight change in our interactions. The doors opened where Ethan's nasty secretary stood waiting. Her eyes landed on me with distain but she remained composed.
"Your father is waiting for you in the boardroom and your four o'clock has arrived early. Should I take him into your office?" She asked while handing him some forms which he signed.
He took a folder from her before speaking. "Take Mr. O'harra to one of the conference rooms and give him the brief. I'll be there in ten minutes. Let me sort out things with my father."
She walked to her desk then Ethan entered one of the rooms with me behind him. The room was huge and could hold around forty people. The was a large U-shaped table with chairs on the outside and Ethan's dad stood at the front, smiling as soon as he saw us.
"Ashley, it seems my son is trying to hide you from me," he laughed.
"I wouldn't say that," I replied nervously.
"No matter. I told my son to give you a job here but as it turns out, he's useless so I've sorted that for you. Luckily, one of the executives on this floor needs an assistant."
"Who?" Ethan asked, looking slightly surprised. "I wasn't aware of-"
His dad continued. "You could just work with him for now and learn what he does."
"Thank you," I said, gratefully.
"No one needs an assistant. I would know," Ethan insisted.
The door opened and a grinning blond walked in. "You must be losing your touch then."
"Him?" Ethan growled.
