I tried to roll over but was chained down by an arm. A muscular arm. "Sh*t," I muttered, remembering what happened. My clothes were on the floor amongst the billionaire's. I closed my eyes exhausted, deciding to get more sleep before fighting him.
"Oh my god!"
Only an hour later, I was woken up again. I threw a pillow at the direction of the voice. "Shut up," I grumbled, relaxing back into the...hard chest of Ethan. Too tired to move, I lay there, taking advantage of the situation as I was comfortable.
"Ashley, do know who that is?" Diana whispered loudly.
"No, because obviously I'd sleep with a random man in my house," I replied sarcastically, still not looking at her.
"Oh sh*t," May's voice pitched in.
"Can you guys leave? Do you want to watch us f*ck? Because you're disturbing my f*cking sleep."
The sound of the door shutting told me they had left. Finally. I groaned, p*ssed as I couldn't go back to sleep then flung the covers off me and reached for the nearest item of clothing which luckily was his dress shirt. Due to my lack of height, it covered all the important areas then I slid on a pair of shorts. With one last look at the sleeping Ethan, I left my room and walked into an ambush.
"Ashley," Diana started, her hands on her hips. "Why were you in bed with Ethan?"
I ignored her question and reached for the toast that someone had put on a plate. "That's mine," May complained.
"Sorry," I muttered but continued chewing.
"Answer the question," Diana ordered then threw my toast onto the floor when she realized I wasn't saying anything.
"Hey!"
"What is the billionaire doing here and why are you wearing his clothes?"
"This is my house. I can bring whoever I want here. And I put on his clothes because it was nearest thing and I'm not in the mood to hunt for what I wore yesterday," I said, irritated. "Now, can I eat?"
May and Diana stared at me with wide eyes but nodded. I smiled then shoved some left over pizza from the refrigerator into the microwave. My friends both turned their heads in the direction of the door, jaws agape an indication that Ethan was coming.
He entered, topless, his hair wet probably from being in the shower. We all watched him in silence move towards me and reach into the refrigerator to get milk. His eyes met mine. "Morning," he said, voice low.
"Morning," I replied, trying to fight the urge to restart the events from the day before.
Pouring the milk into a glass, he continued ignoring my friends who continued staring. "Get ready. You're coming with me today."
"That's a first."
He raised an eyebrow. "Fine. Enjoy walking."
"No," I protested. "I'm coming. Give me fifteen."
"Ten."
I raised my middle finger and went back into my bedroom with Diana and May trailing behind me. Picking out clothes, I waited for rest of the questions they wanted to ask.
"Ash, this really doesn't look like a fake relationship," May commented.
"But it is."
Diana looked at me as if I were crazy. "Do you think you can simply f*ck him and not have feelings?"
"I've done it before."
"You got angry that time. This time you seem calm...almost happy."
I tried to force a frown on my face. "I'm not."
"You're so bad at lying," May laughed.
"I'm going to go and get ready as I have work."
"She's not denying it," Diana noted.
"I'm not admitting anything either."
Despite going over the fifteen minutes that I was given, Ethan stood in the hallway waiting and looking up when he heard the sound of my heels. Grabbing my coat, I walked out of the door he held open but stopped to shout at the two in my apartment. "Don't go through my sh*t!" I warned then made my way to Ethan's car.
No words were exchanged and we sat in silence with the radio playing. It was like a very dramatic walk, or in this case drive, of shame. Finally, I sighed loudly breaking the quiet atmosphere.
"I don't like this," I said, folding my arms.
"What do you mean?" Ethan asked, his eyes still on the road.
"This," I repeated.
"What do you want me to say?"
I paused. I didn't have an answer. "That's the last time we ever have sex."
"You said that before and look how well that turned out," he pointed out.
My cheeks flushed red and I glared at him. "Whatever."I closed my eyes, not wanting to look at the cause of my embarrassment. Suddenly, I felt myself being shaken and I woke up, groggily.
"Ashley. Ashley. Can you hurry the f*ck up?" I swung my arm blindly, trying to hit Ethan but my hand was pushed away and my seatbelt was unbuckled for me. "People are going to think I kidnapped you," he muttered. "It's either you walk on your own two legs or I carry you."
I became wide awake in seconds then hopped out of the car. We entered the elevator and I pressed the button for the top floor. As we were alone, I was highly aware of his presence and could feel his gaze on me.
"Can you stop looking at me?" I asked, meeting his eyes in the reflection of mirror.
The ping of the elevator opening didn't give him time to reply and people began piling into the small space, forcing me towards Ethan.
"Sorry...Excuse me...Wait-I'm just trying to-" I stammered. My suffering was put to an end as an arm snaked round my hip and pulled me towards Ethan's chest. I raised my head but he continued looking ahead. The ghost of a grin played across my lips but turned upside down when I heard the she-devil.
"Ethan," she beamed. He didn't reply making her frustrated. "Ethan?"
Ivy then caught sight of his arm around me and let out what may have been a screech. Heads turned to glance at her while I hid my laugh in his shirt.
"What's going on?" She exclaimed.
As if it were planned, the elevator doors slid open and Ethan exited, pulling me along by my hand. I turned towards Ivy then smirked.
B*tch, he's mine.
