I stood outside my apartment for the last time and sighed. I would miss the horrible neighbours who I know won't reciprocate my feelings. Although, I'd be back because as much as Ethan is controlling, I wasn't going to listen to him because we were sleeping together.
"Miss. Roberts?"
Turning, I faced the very muscular man who was part of the company moving my things. "Yeah?"
"We've packed your stuff."
"You managed to remove all my sh*t in an hour?" I said shocked.
He laughed. "Yes. Just tell us when to go."
"Wow. Five stars to you." My phone began vibrating. The name on the screen was our dear billionaire who was probably enjoying himself with a certain Ivy. A plan formed in my head and I smiled at the man beside me. "What's your name?"
"Luke."
"Well, Luke, I have a job for you. I'll even tip you extra."
I outlined my idea then called Ethan back. "What?"
"Hello, Ashley."
My body warmed up at the sound of his voice but turned cold when I heard the b*tch. "Ethan, can we go there?" she whined like a baby.
I gritted my teeth. "Why did you call me?"
"Can't I just call you?" He replied, not answering Ivy's question.
"No."
I could feel his eyes rolling. "I'll be back later in the evening."
"So?" I gestured to Luke to get the plan in action.
"Ashley, are you ready?" Luke said.
3. 2. 1.
"Who the f*ck was that?" Ethan almost growled.
"No one," I answered to him then called back to my paid actor. "Luke, give me a moment to finish this call."
"We aren't finishing sh*t until you tell me who the f*ck that was," he cursed.
"I already told you - no one."
"Doesn't sound like no one. Ready for what?"
"I need to go."
"Ashley, don't f*ck with me."
This time it was my turn to roll my eyes. "I've done that already. Bye, Ethan."
"I dare you to hang up."
I shrugged. "Okay." And I hung up.
"He sounds mad," Luke pointed out. Grinning, I made my way down the stairs.
"He deserves it." I handed him a bunch of notes from my pocket. "Here. Thank you for your help."
"Why thank him when you can thank me?"
"F*ck," I swore when I saw the bald man at the exit. "Mr. Pierson."
"You look good. How's your boyfriend treating you?" His voice sounded mocking, like he knew something I didn't which only p*ssed me off. "It seems both of you have different partners today," he noted.
"My boyfriend is fine, not that's it any of your f*cking business."
He tutted. "Language, young girl. Didn't your dad ever teach you manners?"
"He taught me not to let anyone threaten me."
"Ah about that. You haven't given me an answer to my... threat and I'm an impatient man. Look at what happened to Holt."
