I had just woken up when Ethan's sister, Victoria , creaked open the door. "Ashley? You awake?"

"Yeah," I whispered, not wanting to wake the sleeping Barbie. Victoria entered then sat on the foot of the bed.

"We didn't get to talk yesterday," she pointed out. "Ethan was keeping you to himself."

"Yeah..." I muttered, looking down at the new ring.

Noticing it, she smiled. "Congratulations! You weren't outside when I went to my brother. Something about you being sick?"

The moment she reminded me, I wanted to throw up as I thought about how Ethan was acting. "Can I ask you a question?"

"Sure," She said then leaned forward. "What is it?"

"Do you...I'm not suggest that it's true but," I sighed. "Do you think Ethan has feelings for Ivy? He says he doesn't but I doubt he'd tell me the truth."

Victoria blinked. "Ethan and Ivy?"

"Andrew told me that they had a thing and they look close."

"I wouldn't know if they've had sex. No sister really wants to find out but I don't think he likes her like that. They're just friends."

Nodding, I got up, not believing a word. "Thanks. I'm going to have a shower then come down to eat."

"Ashley?" She called before I left. Her face was serious. "My brother wouldn't cheat. You know that, right?"

I smiled tightly. "Of course he wouldn't," I lied.

By the time I got downstairs, there were people eating everywhere. I squeezed through, mumbling the occasional sorry in order to get closer to the stove to find out what there was. The smell of eggs wafted through the air but my body reacted to it unexpectedly. I slammed my hand to my mouth, trying to hold back the vomit.

I backed away from the kitchen, this time not apologizing as I barged past people and tried to think where the nearest bathroom was. Veronica caught my eye but I didn't bother waiting for her. Running up the stairs two at a time, I knew I wasn't going to make it to my room so opened the nearest one, praying that it was ensuite which luckily for me it was.

My stomach emptied itself, not that there was much to begin with. A warm hand pulled my hair into a ponytail. "Oh Ashley," Victoria muttered, rubbing my back. "Are you pregnant?"

I opened my mouth to deny it but my stomach stopped me. Eventually, the waves of pain slowed down and I slumped against the shower door with her looking down at me.

"Should I get someone?" She offered. I shook my head in response. "You can't stay here. Ethan's going to come back."

"This is his room?" I croaked.

"Yeah."

"I'll go, don't worry," I assured her then attempted to get up but she gently pushed me back to the floor.

"Stay here. Let me get him."

I didn't have the energy to argue with her. But pregnant? That was enough to make me feel sick. Victoria rushed out leaving me alone. Clutching my stomach, I closed my eyes as I rested my head on the cold glass. I could see Ethan's face already, the horror then the anger.

"Ashley?" The billionaire broke the silence. I met his worried gaze with my p*ssed one.

"I'm fine."

"Clearly." He bent down to my level and placed his hand on my forehead, checking my temperature. "You're warm."

"I know this relationship is fake but a baby is very real and I don't think either of us are ready," I babbled.

"What makes you say that?" He almost sounded offended.

"You don't like me. I don't think I like you either. I'm too young. I don't want to be pregnant, I like alcohol too much."

"Listen to me." I stopped talking. "Shut the f*ck up," he said simply causing me to frown.

"I'm going to be a terrible mom."

"We don't even know if you're pregnant."

"I feel it," I whispered.

Ethan rolled his eyes. "Victoria went to get a pregnancy test from her room which means she might be having a child and we'll find out if you're having one."

His sister burst in, flustered. "I hate this place. Too many stairs." She handed me a small box. "Here. Do it now. Ethan, leave." He glanced at me but did as she asked, closing the door behind him.

"It's the p*ss on a stick test," she explained as I held the instrument that resembled a thermometer.

Pointing to where Ethan left, I waited for her to leave. "I'm not peeing in front of you."

"Baby," she muttered and walked out.

And so I p*ssed on the stick. Waited. Waited. Then got my answer.

"Sh*t," I swore. The sound of banging made me jump in surprise.

"What does it say?" Veronica called.

I entered the bedroom numb. My mouth opened but no words came out. She took the test out of my hand and let out a sigh. "It's fine. That's what you wanted."

Ethan looked frustrated. "What the f*ck does it mean?"

"I'm not pregnant."

I watched his face which didn't convey anything but I could feel the relief. My throat tightened.

"You might have caught the flu," he suggested, cautiously stepping towards me. I flinched slightly from his touch which felt cold against my feverish skin. "Sleep here."

"Okay," I agreed then buried myself in his bed, wanting nothing more than to disappear.

"What would you have done if she was pregnant?" Victoria asked minutes later think I was asleep.

There was a pause before Ethan responded. "I'd look after them both."

"Are your feelings for her that serious?"

"You already know."

"In other words-"

The last part faded away as I drifted to sleep, wondering what could have happened if I was pregnant and what Ethan meant.
