There were those minutes
those mere seconds of joy,where our eyes crinkled smiles beaming
those times when I was yours and you were mine
We lived in a fantasy
A world with no cloudy skies, no bad days
A world where reality didn't exist
We were young and naive
We didn't realise forever was a long time
An unattainable time
maybe we knew but we still hoped
Where did we go wrong?
Was it me or was it you?
What were we?
Who were we?
You were my light and I your shade
Like the sun that sets daily our thoughts come and go
Do I exists in yours?
As a butterfly?
As a bird?
As human?
As me?
As a thought?
Do I?
you still exist in mine like a candy that turned sour
Memories are blurring and with time it will be gone
But before that can we say goodbye once again?
