How do you tell A child?
So pure, so chaste
So full of awe at this lost world
So full of love for little things
So beautiful, so blissful
How do you tell a child like that what death is?
How do you tell her, the person she saw every day,
Would never come back again?
How do you tell her, that she was never going to feel his warmth encore?
How do you tell this child, that he is gone too far away from us to a void no one knows about?
How do I tell her how to fill the vacuum she feels In his absence?
How do I tell her about the place he'd gone to?
Should I tell her with a hug that he's gone to heaven? Or should I tell her with a forehead kiss just know he's never coming back?
Should I tell her it's filled with flowers and all the beauty of this world and others?
Should I tell her it's filled with happy kingdoms and play full princesses?
Or should I tell her about the void or hell?
About the darkness that lays beyond?
Should I tell her not to feel sad but be happy?
What should I do?
How do you tell this child not to fear?
When all we do is be afraid of death
How do I tell this child what death this?
When we don't know the answer
