"What is your biggest desire?" I asked the old man sitting by the park with a tight smile and nostalgic look. "I want to see Disney land" he said with a tint of shame In his voice.
I asked the same to the old lady sitting on the porch knitting , with a look that said she was waiting for her end. "I want my son to make me tea" she said with a hurt that made the listener feel down.
"What is your biggest desire?" I asked the middle age man who was running to get to work. "I want a better life for my family" he confessed eyes clouded with the weight of the world.
I asked again to the lady in the nightgown cooking for her family like that was all she was about "I want to design a dress for the red carpet" She said looking down like she believed that she couldn't achieve it.
"What is your biggest desire?" I asked the teenage boy sitting by the stairs his eyes reflecting his broken childhood. "I just want to get through the day without breaking down" He said sighing as if it was a Herculean task.
I asked the girl with black hair and platinum eyes that held the pressures of the society in them what her biggest wish was "I want to be true to myself" she said with a guilt that was slowing eating her up.
I asked the little boy and girl down by the swings what their wish was.
The little girl whispered in my ears like it was a world class secret "I want to be a princess "
But the little boy yelled out loud confidently " I want to be a superhero"
Their answes made a question revolve in my mind "What was mine?"-keerthana
