Before I officially finish this story with the epilogue I want to thank you all for your amazing and unwavering support! (even when I leave you all on cliffhangers 😉) Without you guys I wouldn't be an author. You make me a better writer and your comments make me laugh (sometimes too loud). So, thank you! I'm eternally in your debt.
Dipper's POV
"Will come help me please!" I yelled from the kitchen. "Everyone is waiting for us outside!"
"Coming daddy!"
Will was much better behaved than Clover and Orion, who even though we're turning 10 still ran around like maniacs, attacking each other with fire. And though Will was the spinning image of Bill, except for blue being his favorite color, his personality was nothing like his.
"Want to help me ice the cake?" I asked Will, lifting him onto a stool. "What color should we make it?"
"Yeah! Can we make it blue?"
I laughed and nodded. I really didn't need to ask what color. It was pretty obvious he would pick blue. His hair was blue, his eyes were blue and his large sweater was blue. He was quite the blue child.
"Okay can you get me a big spoon?"
Will ran to the utensil drawer to get a spoon while I put all the ingredients for icing into a bowl. Taking the spoon Will gave me, I mixed it together.
Will snuck his hand into the bowl, taking a handful of icing and trying to eat it.
"Will!" I yelled. "What did I tell you? No more eating icing it's going to make you sick!"
"I'm sorry," he whined.
"It's okay," I sighed. "But no more."
Will nodded and finished licking off his icing covered fingers. He watched me closely as I spread the icing all over the cake before putting the empty bowl in the sink.
"Okay what color should we make the sprinkles?"
"Blue!"
"Will sweetie, we can't make everything blue. Remember this isn't your party. How about yellow?"
Will's face scrunched up weirdly. Will hated the color yellow, but as you would think Orion and Clover loved it. They truly were Bill's children.
"Fine," he huffed, crossing his little arms.
I laughed and added the sprinkles to the cake. Taking out a box of candles I placed 10 on the cake and brought it outside.
It was a little chilly to be outside, but this is what Mabel called sweater weather. Then again Mabel always had a sweater. Everyone outside was wearing sweaters Mabel made. Even Clover and Orion, who's sweaters said "birthday boy!" Or "birthday girl!".
"Happy birthday to you," I started, waiting for everyone to join in. "Happy birthday to you. Happy birthday deer Clover and Orion. Happy birthday to you~!"
Clover and Orion both blew out the candles, making a wish. Everyone cheered, including Bill who was obnoxiously loud.
"So what did you wish for?" I asked them.
"Pine Tree you know they can't tell you or it won't come true."
I rolled my eyes not believing in the myth. My birthday wishes never came true.
"Sure they did Pine Tree! Remember last year you wished that I would-"
"Woah Bill let's not!" I yelled, not wanting him to say anything inappropriate.
Bill handed me a knife and I set the cake down so I could cut it. Clover and Orion were pushing each other to see who would get the first slice of cake.
"As a surprise, the inside of the cake will be either pink or blue, signifying the gender of our next kid," Bill said excitedly.
The knife I was holding almost slipped from my hand.
"Bill I fucking swear if you make me have another child I will stab you as many years old as you are with this knife!"
"Geez Pine Tree Im only joking!"
"You better be," I threatened, resuming the cake cutting.
Little did Dipper know that even though Bill was a joker he was probably not in fact "joking".
