Dipper's POV
I woke up in a cage. Thankfully it was large enough for me to move around in, though my antlers prevented me from doing much. Looking towards my leg I saw it had fully healed.
I shifted into my human formed and studied my surroundings. Unlike the time I had been captured by Gideon, this cage had a large padlock on it.
My eyes widened slightly, as I realized how forgetful I had been. I hadn't escaped by myself. I had help. And there was only one way I got that help.
But would it work?
"Triangulum, entangulum. Meteforis dominus ventium. Meteforis venetisarium!"
I felt a small amount of energy course through my body. It was working! Maybe I would actually get Bill back! I said the backwards message five times hoping it would work.
Everything surrounding me turned to grey and before me floated just the person I wanted to see.
"Bill!" I cheered.
"Pine Tree?"
He floated towards me wrapping his arms around my shoulders, as I did the same to him. I felt a few tears fall from my eyes.
"Pine Tree don't cry," he whispered to me.
"I'm just happy you're back."
Bill's face paled more than it already was. His usual smile turned to a frown. Noticing his glum expression I opened my mouth to speak, but he spoke before I could.
"Pine Tree, I'm sorry, but this is only the mindscape. My body is still in the Nightmare Realm."
My heart sank. The tears threatened to fall from my eyes again.
"Oh," I said finally.
Bill wiped away my tears before kissing me softly.
"I will be back Pine Tree. I'm working on it as we speak."
"What do you mean?"
"You'll see Pine Tree," Bill grinned slightly. "Now about your predicament. I can unlock the cage, but you're going to have to find your way out yourself. My magic is limited so this is all I can do."
"Limited?" I questioned.
"I've been thrown in jail."
"They threw you in jail? The all powerful Bill Cipher was thrown in jail?!"
"Haha very funny, Pine Tree. Don't worry, as I won't be there for long. They will pay for what they've done."
I eyed Bill suspiciously before nodding to acknowledge his words.
"Oh! The guard is coming! I've got to go! I love you, Pine Tree!"
Before I could say I love you back Bill disappeared and the color returned to the world around me.
Bill wasn't dead, he was alive, and he was coming home. That would give me the strength to survive until then.
