EMILY'S P.O.V
I guess you could say the day is going great. Besides the usual people being rude, occasional annoying people...
But someone caught my eye in science.
Someone new.
A boy.
He was very stand off-ish. As if he didn't want anyone knowing he existed.
His mysterious demeanor intrigues me.
I have to know more about him.
Suddenly, I run into someone tall, with blonde hair. And I slam on the ground.
"Oh gosh. I'm so sorry! Are you okay? Did I hurt you?" He asks while helping me up. I am speechless.
It's him.
"Oh...uh.. Yeah, I'm fine." I slightly chuckle.
"Okay, good." He sighs. "I'm Luke." While he hold out his hand.
"I'm Emily. How long have you lived in New York?" I ask, realizing I'm still holding his hand.
"Oh. Uh-"
"Who the hell is this?!" I'm interrupted by Trent.
"Trent, calm down. He was just helping me up." I sigh.
"Don't you tell me what to do! I'm sorry I'm upset, because you're..... Doing whatever the hell this is!" He shouts.
"Hey, man. I have a girlfriend. I was just being polite and helping her up." Luke says.
As if it was some sort of life saver, the bell rang and school was over.
"Come on Em, we are leaving." Trent huffs.
As we are walking, Trent drags me toward the bathroom.
"Trent. I want to go home." I say quietly.
"Shut up and get on your knees." He growls as he shoves me in a stall with him. What's going on? This isn't normally him...
"No! What's going on Trent? Why are you acting like this?" I ask.
"Fine! I guess I'll make you." He mumbles as he shoves me down, and starts unzipping his zipper.
I quickly jump up and run out.
But obviously I wasn't quick enough. Because someone grabs my wrist.
"Get the hell away from me Trent!" I shout. "We are done! You are a disgusting pervert!" I groan.
I turn around to see Luke.
"Oh my god. I'm sorry. I didn't know-" I'm interrupted again.
"Are you crying? What happened?"
Crap. I'm crying.
I quickly wipe my tears.
"Oh, nothing. I just.. I need to go."
I keep walking.
.
When I get home, I run straight to my room. I can't breath. Oh God. Panic attack.
"Help!" I cough out.
My phone starts ringing. It's an unknown number.
"Hello?" I answer. My breath cut off short.
"Emily? Are you okay? What's going on?"
"Luke?"
"Emily. You need to breath, okay? It's gonna be okay. I get panic attacks all the time. Breath in...out....in...out."
I breath along with the sound of his breath through the phone, and finally I'm breathing normally again.
"I'll be over in 20 minutes. What's your address?" he spoke. Concern lacing his smooth sweet voice.
After telling him the address, he hangs up, and literally 20 min later, he was here.
I hear my mom answering the door.
"Hi, Mrs. I'm here to see Emily? is she home?" He says.
"Please, call me Stacy. She's upstairs in her room, I think." She speaks.
Then I realized something.
Mom only gets the door when dad is gone.
Dad is out drinking. Again.
Happy birthday, to me, right?
"Emily?" Mom calls.
"Yeah?" I answer a bit harshly. I know this isn't her fault. I'm just upset.
"Someone named......whats your name?" She whispers to Luke.
"My name is Luke Hemmings."
"Luke is here!" She shouts.
"Send him up!" I say from the top of the stairs. I look down when I see him. And I realize I have tears all over this shirt. Oh well.
.
After about 15 minutes of luke and I talking, I decide to change. I take off my shirt, and grab another one. Behind me, I hear Luke choke on his breath.
I blush.
"Oh, sorry. If you want i can go to the bathroom." I smirk.
