Well, I was wrong.

Hilda sat at a table in the Striaton City Gym. She had just been told some disheartening news. The restaurant had been losing a lot of business lately - Almost no one went there anymore - and was, sadly, facing bankruptcy. They needed something to draw customers in, something popular, something famous! Er, well, sorta famous. And since Hilda was the champion and all, aaaaaand had a kids cartoon based on her that aired every weekend, she was the best they could think of. They needed her to come and work there. It would bring customers back and everything would be amazing. The only problems were that Hilda would have to stay cooped up there for quite awhile, and she never stayed anywhere for long. Oh, and the fact that Hilda couldn't cook or remember orders (She had worked at the Village Bridge sandwich shop for, like, a day before being fired for her "incompetence"). But the gym leaders felt confident that they could work around these. Hilda wasn't so sure.

"But I'd have to stay here all day. I couldn't go explore, or eat ice cream, or train... OR eat iCE CREAM!"

"Yes, but you'd really be helping us out." One of the gym leaders said. Hilda didn't know which one. She wasn't paying much attention. She was thinking about Castelia Cones. Mmm, Castelia Cones...

"Hilda!"

Hilda snapped back into reality to find three annoyed gym leaders glaring at her. Oops.

"Heh heh, sorry... I guess I kinda spaced out there for a second." She said.

"You know what?" Chili said. "I don't think this is going to work out." He turned to his brothers. "We'll just have to find another way."

"Now now," Cilan said. "I'm sure it'll turn out fine."

"I wouldn't be so sure." Chili grumbled.

"Now Hilda," Cilan said. "It would be a big help to us. If you would at least consider-"

"It would be a big help?" Hilda cut him off.

"Yes. And you'd be getting paid. (Of course) So please..."

Hilda knew she had to help them, but she just couldn't think about giving up on her travels. So, naturally, for some strange reason that only the author knows, she nodded and yelled "Ok!" so loud that the few customers that were there flinched at the noise.

"Then it's settled!" Said Cilan, smiling.

Cress smiled as well. Chili didn't say anything, opting to sulk instead.

Just as Cress was about to say something, Hilda blurted: "But where will I live? My house is all the way in Nuvema town? It would take, like, half a day just to get there. Then I would have to travel back, and then it's back to Nuvema town. And it would go on like this: on and on and on and on and on and on until I collapse. Then I'd have to go back to traveling back and forth, back and forth, until-"

"Would you just stop talking already?!" Chili yelled. "Sheesh, has anyone ever told you you're really annoying?!"

"Now Chili." Cilan said. He then turn to White. "You can stay with us!" He said.

Hilda almost fell out of her chair.

"St-stay with you?! But that'd be like, SUPER awkward! I-I just, No!"

"Calm down! What's up with you? We have a spare room! Sheesh..." Chili spat.

"Calm down?! CalM DOWN?! Says the person who's yelling at me!" Hilda hissed.

"Yelling?! You're the one yelling!"

"No I'm not!!! You are!"

Cilan and Cress just slowly backed away.

"Well, this'll be fun." Cress said, his voice dripping with sarcasm.

"...I'm sure it'll turn out fine..." Cilan murmured, hoping that it really would.
