[Chapter 5: Smile]
Ross' POV
Y/n hasn't been smiling since the day she gave all damiell's gifts to her back. We've tried everything, even a simple joke can't help. And We already tried letting her watch the do not laugh videos, but she never smiled even a little. Her face was blank and sad. It's like everything inside her died. "Hey y/n, got a moment?" "Mmmm...?" She lifelessly says. "Can I do a stream with you?" "Mmmm..." "I'll take that as a yes." I take out my camera and did a live stream. (I do not know how live streams work :p) "Hey guys ross here and welcome to another stream, today I am joined by y/n and... well, guys, something happened between y/n and her boyfriend, and as you can see," I turn the so the people will see y/n. "She ain't smilin. So.... let's make her smile. Type in your jokes and fast!" Everyone starts typing in jokes and I tell them to y/n one by one. She didn't smile. Then I was losing hope. My stream was already going on for an hour, and still, y/n did not show a single smile. "C'mon, y/n. I know there's a smile buried in there. Smile." She still did not smile. "I didn't want to resort to this, but you leave me no choice." I went outside and called barney. I mean almost everyone laughs at him. Even when he just looks at you. He's funny even if he doesn't speak. He gets into my office. "C'mon's, I'm not prepared's. I need's to making's a joke's first." I can feel y/n almost smiling. "Guys, stop typing in jokes and watch barney do his magic." "I told's you's, I'm not prepared's." "Just grab your bikini and make her laugh." "I's thought's you's hating's that." "I do. Don't worry, I will not be watching." "Fine's." He went out and got his bikini, then went back into the office. I covered my eyes. I can hear him putting on the bikini. "Hello there!" He says in his girly voice. "What's do you's think's about mount rushmore?" (Yeah I took that from bikini barney do not laugh.) "Dude the heck?" Y/n once again, lifelessly says. "C'mon. I have's one's job." Barney says, still in his girly voice. Y/n starts to smirk, I can see her do so in the corner of my eye. "See guys, Barney is an expert comedian."
Y/n'/'s POV
I couldn't help but smirk at barney. He really can make a person laugh. But I still couldn't laugh. I just simply smirked. "I'm's doing's a survey's." "Work your magic barney," ross mumbles but can be clearly heard because of the silence of the offices. I really do want to laugh at barney, but I don't know why I couldn't. Is it because of the break up? Or am I just not in the mood...? I don't know...
Why is ross trying his hardest to make me smile? I can't believe I have a thousand questions in my head. Do I have a thousand questions in my head? I really do not know. "Rot, this is not working's," Barney says, about to give up. I giggle.
Back to Ross
It's working, she giggled! Barney is a stand up comedian. "No, it's working. She just giggled. You heard her giggle right guys?" I say to barney and my camera. They start commenting. Some said yeah and others said they didn't hear her. Being the idiot I am, I uncovered my eyes. "Oh, gross! Why did I open my fucking eyes?!" Y/n giggles a bit more. "Crap! I promised myself I wouldn't look, but... Ugh gross!" Y/n giggles a lot more then starts to laugh. "I did it!" "Excuse me, Rot?" "Sorry. I really did it!" Barney rolls his eyes and puts his shirt on, then leaves. Y/n continues to laugh. "Were you laughing at barney or....." "You...! I was laughing at you!" She said in between laughs. She then stops laughing. "Thanks for making me laugh, ross." I face the camera. "See? I did it. Not barney." Y/n giggles then thanks me once again.
You did it ross. I thought, proud of what I did.
