Chapter 15

Max's pow:

It was all silence for a while. Windey was completely into something. Her expressions are clear enough to show how worried she was. I decided to break the silence. "Well Windey..what are we gonna do now?" I asked. "I am very confused Max. What is happening with us is something like paranormal. I dont want this all to continue. But dont know the root to cut. We cant let Cullen with her fate. I want to save her. But dont know from what or whom. My nightmares, they are really making me sick." She said. " Nightmares? You haven't told me before?" I asked. "I didnt want to bother you with my hellucinations. But now i understood that i wasn't hellucinating." She said. She narrated me all her dreams and what all she had gone through. I was awestruck with what she said. If i were her, i would have definetly left the house. She was really very brave. What to do now? How to get away from all this ? Can we make it? I think we could, if we leave. " Windey..lets get away from here. I am sure that is the right solution. Lets leave right now. Let me pack our bags." I said and went to the cupboard to pack our luggage. "Stop Max. Wait a while. We should be here till i am 18. Its against the law. We will have to give an answer to the authority if we leave." She said. "Of course we will Windey. We will tell them what all we are going through. Who the hell will ask us to stay here if we could make it clear for them?" I said pulling out the trolley from the cupboard. "Max..listen to me. We can't make it all by ourself. We will wait till dusk. Let Uncle Jake return home. We will talk to him and take his help to get out of here. We will be making the situation more worse if we start alone now. Just wait for this night." Windey said putting back the trolley inside. Hmm.. i was convinced. It was really true. If we leave alone, we will definetly be chased by the ghost. That pushes us into a very worst situation. Uncle Jake will definetly help us. "Ok Windey. We need to be very careful this night. We need to see that nothing happens to Cullen tonight." I said. "Yeah." Windey said.

We both sat on either side of the bed. It was 11pm. I usually sleeps at 10. But this time i wasn't even sleepy. I wanted this night to pass as fast as possible. I kept on looking the clock. It was 2pm. Windey was constantly looking at Cullen. This shows her concern for Cullen. Windey is really a very good sister. Though our parents passed, she stood bold behind us. She was taking good care of us. She wasn't letting us miss mom at any cost. She was no less than mom.

Some sound from the downstairs. We both looked at each other. The sound continued. "I will go and check." I said. "No Max. I will come with you. I cant let you go alone." She said. "No Windey. Stay with Cullen. I will be alright." Saying this i got out of the room.

I got down slowly. The sound was from the TV. It was onned. How could it be possible. Who might have onned it? I inched towards the sofa. To my horror, i saw some figure sitting on the sofa. As i came closer, i realised that it was an old lady. She was holding the remote. I thought it to be grandma, went close to her and rested my hand on her shoulder. Suddenly she disappeared and the remote fell down. I was horrified. My mind blew off and my hands started to shake. I bent down, took the remote and switched off the tv. I turned back and went to the stairs. When i was on half my way,

The sound again. I again got down the stairs. The tv was onned again. I went to the sofa, took the remote and switched it off again. I turned and started walking back. I was almost near our door when,

This time, my heart pounded with fear. I got down the stairs and the tv was onned. This time i removed the tv plug. I went back to the room.

"What was that Max?" Windey asked. I didn't want to bother her telling what happened. "Nothing Windey. Just leave it" I said. I sat on the bed and patted Cullen. Even Cullen might have gone through many wierd things having been in this stage. We shouted at her many times. We didnt knew that it wasn't her fault. I am sorry Cullen, i felt inside and rested on the bed. I didnt know when i slept. It was 5am and i wokeup. Windey wasn't there in the room. I hurriedly rushed out, checked her room. She wasn't even there. I got down and went to the lawn. She was standing near the gate. I then gave a sigh of relief. I went to her "What are you doing here Windey? I went mad noticing your absence in the room." I said. "Sorry Max. I just wanted to refresh myself. I just wanted to enjoy my peace of mind for a while." She said.

We then didnt knew that we no more gonna have any peaceful days.
