Chapter 19

Max's Pow:

It was 8am and i wokeup. Windey was sleeping but Cullen was not on bed. I hurriedly jumped outoff the bed and looked in the washroom hoping to find her. But she wasnt there. I searched in Windey's room but of no use. I ran down stairs and searched in granny's room and in the kitchen and hall. But she was not there. I ran outside but couldn't find her in the lawn too. My heart beat almost reached 180 this time. Impatiently I ran inside and went to the stairs, but something wrong caught my eyes. The room which should be locked in the hall was opened. I went inside the room. It was a home library. "Cullen, Are you inside?" I repeated it twice and this time a response came. "Yeah Max. " and Cullen came out from within the racks holding a big book in her hands. "Thankgod. You are safe. But you should have informed me before unlocking this door. Didn't you remember Sifu telling us that this room is closed since our grandpa's death and not supposed to be opened? But howcome you got the keys?" I asked. "Max.. take a breathe. You are continuously putting on questions. I didnt open it myself. I wokeup at 7.30am and got down the stairs to check if the newspaper was out. You know i love tuesday's paper. Full of cartoons.. When i got down the stairs, i found the door unlocked. So I came inside and was exploring the library. While doing so, I hit a table accidentally and on the table i found this book and so i was just looking at it." She said putting that book in my hands. "Ok fine Cullen. Lets go. We will be late to school if we didnt hurry up." I put the book on the table and we came out. "Cullen..go up. Wake Windey up and get ready. I will come in a few minuites." I said. She went up. I searched for a spare lock in granny's room and finally found one. I locked the room and kept the keys in granny's cupboard and went up.

Windey and Cullen were busy getting themselves ready to school. Windey ran to me as  soon as she saw me. "Max.. did you check the clippings?" She asked. "No Windey. Should do it now. Get ready.  I will check them meanwhile." I said and gathered the cams and got down. I checked all the cams fast. There was no sigh of something paranormal in the clippings. Everything was clean and clear. I again fitted them back in their places and went to Windey's room and made my arrangements to school. By the time we three were ready, it was 8.40am. We hurriedly came down. The tiffin was already kept ready for us. We had our breakfast and by then Uncle Jake was waiting for us outside with a cab. "Come fast kids. Get into the cab. You have less than 10minuites." He said and we got into the cab.

Windey's Pow:

It was 9.05am and we were in school. I rushed to the classroom. I stood near the door, took a deep breath and "Can I come in Sir?" I asked. The class was so silent that everyone looked at me. "Yeah. Come in." Sir said. He was almost 6. Stout and fair enough. He looked young even. "You are Windey right?" Sir asked. "Yeah Sir. I am a mid entry." I said. "I know. Mistress told me about you. Hey Guys.. she is Windey and as you heard she is a mid entry. Help her get habituated to the school. " saying this to the students he looked at me and "Feel free to ask for help Windey. They are very nice. Infact this is the best and most disciplined batch till date." He said. I smiled at him. I was walking through the rows searching from a place to seat. "Sit here Windey." A voice so sweet. I turned back and the most hottest eyes ever are staring at me. "Sit beside me." He said. I went and sat beside him. I took my notes off my bag, put it infront of me and started observing all the students. Everyone seemed studious. All were into the lecture bothering less of the sourroundings. So I too diverted myself into the lecture. It was 9.40am and the class finished. The sir went out and "Now.. tell me Windey. Where are you from?" The sweet voice from my side. I turned to him and "From a village nearby. Where are you from?" I asked. "From a place few yards away from the school." He said smiling. "Whats your name by the way?" I asked. "Rickey. You can call me Rick." He said. I was about to talk something when a few girls sourrounded our bench. "Hey Rickey.. Why didnt you come yesterday?" One of them asked. "Hmm..Just tired of school. Nothing much. By the way introduce yourself to Windey." He said. "Hmm..Hy Windey. I am sanvy and they are Lilly Sonu and Carl." She again turned to him giving a smirk to me. "So how was the class Rick? I didnt understand it. Did you?" She asked him. "Yeah. A little." He said. "Great. Can you teach me this evening? Shall we meet in the cateria?" She asked coming forth. "Hmm..may be tomorrow. I am a bit busy today." He said moving a bit back. "Why do you keep on postponing my appointments Rick? Amn't I your friend?" She asked angrily. "Well.." he is about to say something and the bell rang and Sir was in. They went back to their places. Everyone opened their books and so did I. Rick murmered something in my ears. "What? I didnt get you." I said. "These girls are irritating." He said. I smiled at him and looked back into the notes. He is actually handsome. His eyes especially...damn cute. I diverted myself into studies and continued listening the class. This class seemed long. It continued for almost 75min. It was 10am and Sir left the class and so everyone. I thought it was a break and stoodup. "Is this a break?" I asked. "Kindof. But this break lasts for 22 hours." He said. "What? Are the classes suspended?" I asked surprised. "Kindof. But we need to go to the library and study. These lectures doesnt make a difference." He said. "Hmm..So are you going to the library?" I asked. "Yeah. I have some books to submit. I will submit them and leave. You want me to direct you to the library?" He asked. "Yeah. I have to wait in the school till 3." I said. "3? But why?" He asked. "We didnt have bus transport for this day. We hired a cab and it will pick us up at 3 since it will be the closing time for upper primary." I said. "We? You mean you have siblings here?" He asked. "Yeah. A brother and a sister." I said. "Well then.. i will drop you in your house if you spare a few minuites till I submit my books. Will you mind?" He asked. I thought for a while and "I will be glad if you come inside. Will you mind?" I asked laughing. "Hahah. For sure Windey." He said.

We walked out and the girls are staring at us so serious that i walked fast. "Dont be afraid of them. They are just jealous. They dont like when I talk to a girl. But I am sure they dont harm you." He said trying to comfort me. "Yeah. Its ok." I said. I waited out while he went inside the library and submitted the books. We then went to the parking laut. He then pointed out his byke. That was cool. We had a great conversation during our ride. We reached home. "Come in" I asked. He came in and "Wow.. this looks beautiful drom inside." He said. "Yeah. Wait a second. I will introduce Sifu to you. He lives next to us." Saying this i ran out and within no time I brought Sifu home. "Sifu, he is Rick. My class cum bench mate." I said pointing him. "Hey boy. Very nice to meet you. I am Sifu and Windey's caretaker." He said. I went inside and brought some stuff for them to eat. We three had a very nice conversation. After an hour or so..." Windey.. I will leave. Meet you tomorrow." Rick said. I waved him and came inside. Sifu brought some food to eat. He accompained me during the lunch asking about my first day at school. After we finished lunch I went to sleep and Sifu went home.
