Chapter 21

Rick's Pow:

I really loved Windey. She soon became very special to me. Like she did some kind of magic on me. Her innocent eyes, showed her soul. They were a deep pool of restless gold and worth any man's life. The first day, when she sat beside me and looked at me, her eyes grabbed all my attention and when I looked into them, i knew all the beauty of the universe couldnot even hope to compete with this small thing.

My gaze slowly moved from her eyes to her face and to the toe. She wasn't beautiful in the classical way. No flowing curls or ivory skin, No piercing green eyes, simple in her dress sense, shorter than average and certainly large than a catwalk model, but in her ordinariness she was stunning.

She had a kind of understated beauty. Perhaps it was because she was so disarmingly unaware of her prettiness. If the gods were real, I told myself, then this woman was their masterpiece.

That day I dropped her home and she introduced her guradian Sifu to me. He seemed nice. We sat together in the class the following days and that seemed amaizing. We slowly became very close to each other. All I wanted is just to stay by her side. Though I am not certain of what this feeling was, I wanted it to be love. Love her today, tomorrow and ever after.

I am sure she feels the same. But she is not that kind of a girl who likes making out and a bit distant from this culture. What if she thinks bad of me? What if I endup loosing her friendship. This is what resisting me from proposing her. But I will never let her go.

8.00pm

The clock struck 8 and my phone vibrated. It was from sanvy. The devil I hated the most. It read
hey handsome..wassup?
I didn't feel it answerable. So i ignored it. A few minuites later my phone again vibrated and it was again from her. This time
I know you are avoiding me. I even knew the girl behind it.
Why is she so jealous of Windey. She is that kind to people, does her best to help others, such sweet conversations she makes with people. And these bunch of hens are always angry on her. I thought to myself and the phone vibrated again and from sanvy again
That bi*** Windey right?
That message made me feel like something piercied into my heart. My breathe became faster and I grabbed my phone and dropped down a message to her.
Shut that shitty mouth sanvy. Never dare calling her bitch again. And dont text me back.
I threw down my phone in anger.

After a few minuites my phone started ringing. I went to see who it was. It was sanvy. I rejected the call and opened my lappy to do my presentation. It rang again. I rejected her call some 5 to 6 times when she still kept on calling me again and again. I switchedoff my mobile this time hoping peace.

It was 8.30pm and my phone started ringing. I jumped out in horror. How could it ring when I switched it off? I thought for a while and reached for my phone. Its an unknown number. My adrenaline rose up and I felt my heart heavy. I accepted the call and brought it near my ear. "Hello" my voice almost quivered. There isnt any response from the other side. "Hello..Who is on the line?" I asked again. Still it was silence. Something might be wrong with my phone. It needed some service. I convinced myself and disconnected the call.

11.25pm

I switched the lappy off and went to bed.
