Chapter 17

"We have to prove it Windey. I am sure we will." Max said. He sounded very determined. "But how Max? Didnt you see what happened just now? That demonic thing is trying to fool us. She will never let that happen.  What did she want from us? That note.. she said that she will leave us if he leaves the world. Who is that  he? Maybe she will leave us if we help her. Why not try that?" I said. "Stop it Windey. Dont try to make this complicated. We are going to prove, and then leave. Just put this into your head. Orelse we will surely be into troubles. I cant let anything happen to you both. You both are my only reason to live Windey. I cant loose you fighting for a ghost. Please be practical Windey." Max said. Well.. i am convinced. We cant throw ourself into danger. We need to get outoff here. "Ok Max. Tell me where to fix cameras. I will help you." I said.

"First lets list out the places where we felt ourself haunted or paranormalised, since we were here. The granny's cupboard, washroom, your room, the hall, the terrace and finally Cullen's room. So first let us make sure that we hava cameras fixed in these places." He said. "Ok fine. Lets do it." I said. I didnt want to tell him about the letter i found in the library room, ground floor. I felt guilty. I couldnt imagine how he reacts to it. So i didnt ask him for a camera in that locked library room. I knew i was betraying him, but i should.

It was afternoon and we were still busy fixing cameras. Cullen was still sleeping.

Knock...knock...

It was from the main door. Max went down and opened the door. It was Uncle Jake. He came in. "Think you are busy proving? Fine. Here is the food for you three and tablets for your grandma. Make sure she takes tablets with warm water. See you in the evening guys." Saying this he left.

I went to Cullen's room. Tried waking her up. "Good morning Windey." She said in her cute voice. "No baby. Its afternoon. Get ready for lunch. We are starving." I said. "Oh..is it? Ok Windey. Give me 10minuites." She said. I came out and hurried Max with his work. "Do it fast. She wokeup." I said. "Its almost done Windey. Just the last one." He said.

We all three had our lunch. Cullen looked very normal. She was as before. She became that cute little girl we all love. I am very happy for her.

"Windey how about playing a game?" Cullen asked. "Thats a good idea Cullen." Max exclaimed. "Decide on the game guys." I said. Hmmmmmmmmm
Carroms....
Cullen shouted.

Thats like almost our family game. We used to play carroms every weekend. Max Cullen and dad used to be a team and me, mom used to be their opponent team. I am mom's kid. My dad is a very good player and the game used to be theirs always. But I and mom never felt bad for that. We care the happiness we share while we play rather than winning and loosing. Cullen used to hug dad tight after the last winning strike. She used to hop around mocking me and mom. Max used to enjoy the play and my dad used to feel proud. Thats what makes a true family.

"What do you say Windey?" Max asked pushing me outoff my thoughts. "Yeah..i would love to." I said. We brought the board here as a part of our packings.

We started playing. This time Max and Cullen were on a side making me their opponent. Its ok. I am a good player.

Its been 3 hours since we started playing. "Windey. Lets go to the park nearby. I am bored at home." Cullen said. "Well..dress yourself then." I said. She ran up fast in excitement. "I am happy for this change in Cullen Windey. I wish this should continue." Max said. "It will Max. Dont worry." I said.

"I am ready Windey." Cullen said coming down stairs. She was in her favourite pink frock. That was her 2nd merit birthday dress and she loved it the most. She looked pretty and cute. "Lets go then" I said and we started to the park.

Whenever we were to a park Cullen always sticks to the swing, while Max will be sitting on a bench and I will be busy kindering the other kids. The same happened even here. Max sat quietly on the bench and i was playing with the kids. Cullen was asusual in the swing. It was almost 7 pm and we returned home. Uncle Jake was waiting in the hall for us. "Sorry Uncle Jake. We forgot to tell you. We went to the park at 4." Max said. "Its ok. I will be happy if you comfort yourselves here. Here is the food for you." Saying this he left.

"Go take your shower and be here for dinner in 15min Cullen." I said. Max sat on the sofa and switched-on the tv. I went to my room to take a shower. I took out a nightdress from the cupboard and went to bath.

After 20min we all were in the hall ready for dinner. We all had our dinner and decided to go to bed. I decided to sleep with Max and Cullen in their room. We three adjusted on that bed. "Love you Cullen." I said. "Love you too Windey." She said hugging me. I closed my eyes. Everything was normal. Nothing abnormal happened since afternoon. We enjoyed our day. If we could capture the clipping today, we will be outoff here in two to three days. If we failed and nothing happens tonight, we need to wait till we collect one. I decided to wait till dusk and went to sleep.
