Sunlight

Clarke's POV:

Bellamy and I take turns leading our group down halls but we seem to be getting nowhere, we just can't find a solid way out and the occasional firing of guns doesn't help either.

We come to a halt as I look too Bellamy for help but his eyes are scanning the choices of the two paths ahead of us. It's a 50/50 choice.

" Which way?" He asks desperately, I bite my lip looking at both options knowing that we have no idea which one leads to where.

" This way." I say as confident as possible as I run down the corridor on the left.

To our luck, It's empty and there's nobody around here, not yet anyways.

" Look!" Emori shouts pointing to a window," We're above ground. We've gotta be close." She exclaims and I nod agreeing, acknowledging a piece of given hope. 

Bellamy and Monte run ahead of us, turning a corner before I get to see where the are and they begin shouting cries of joy: have they found a way out? Once we catch up, we see both of them prying to get a door open and Murphy rushes to help them open it up.

" I see you guys are as dumb as ever." Raven says rolling her eyes, she snatches a keycard from Murphy's pocket and she hobbles over to the scanner on the left of the door.

After a few seconds the red light turns to green and clicks, straight away the boys begin to turn the massive wheel embedded on the door until it slides open. A beam of sunlight hits us, as well as a dozen guards. They fire at us and Bellamy grabs my arm pulling me closer to him: after all this time he still tries to protect me. We start to fire back but large gun shots makes all of us drop to the floor, with our hands on our ears.

Once the shots stop, I pull myself from Bellamy's tight grasp and stand up with the others following me, feeling dirt all over my face. The 12 men who were firing at us are all dead, but not because of us. Looking ahead, I see the tree line and a glimpse of light shows me that it's Madi covering us with my sniper: a pang of pride follows through me. We run.

Sprinting across the field, we're not paying attention to whoever can see us as we run into the forest- a good fifty yards, hearing Madi's shots being fired. Luckily, Raven manages up keep up with her leg, with Murphy's support.

We're out. 

Once we're a good distance away from the ship and in the forest, I take them to meet with Madi, only now noticing i'm still holding onto Bellamy's hand.

Shit did I do this the full way.

Quickly, I drop his hand and avoid his gaze while instructing Madi to meet us at the rock, telling her to hide the rover in our usual place.

" Clarke I need to talk to you." Raven says catching up to the front with Bellamy and I.

" I'll talk to you later." I smile at Bellamy and he drops behind us, walking with Monte and Harper.

" What's up?" I ask her casually

" Did you try to radio us from the ground?" Raven questions me and I blush a light shade of pink, unable to look at her face," I take that blush as a yes."

" I didn't know you's would hear me, in all honesty I didn't know you were alive." I
admit," Did you? Hear me." I ask her half hoping she didn't.

" No," my face scrunches up- how did she know then?," Eva told me, only me...that there was someone interfering with radio satellites and signals from Earth. I knew it couldn't be the bunker because it's common sense; it had to be you. I never heard anything you said, but Eva did. So we need to know what you were saying- because if Eva has the chance-" I interrupt her

" She'll use my weaknesses against me." I sigh. I thought we were done with all this.

"Yeah. So, I don't know if you want to tell everyone together or if you just wanna tell me first but Clarke we need to know. There can't be any surprises. If we get taken again-"

" We won't Raven." I state firmly and she rolls her eyes

" Clarke, you've been down here with Madi you weren't getting tortured or beaten up, you didn't see how much it affected us, not having you with us. How much it affected Bellamy." Raven pours out and I feel a string of sadness knowing that all of them especially Bellamy were hurting,"... Look, i'm Just saying if you had a moment which could be used against us we need to know so we don't all turn on each other." She explains and my mind immediately goes to something that nearly happened.

Something that could've happened.

" Anyway, On a better subject how were you down here.. I assume Madi helped at lot so you weren't alone." She smiles changing the topic.

" Yeah actually-" my response is cut short at a brown haired girl with a dirty beanie running over to hug me.

Instantly, I wrap my arms around hers savoring a piece of family I have in this world. As quick as she came she pulls away and looks to the freckled boy behind me.

" Your Bellamy!" She exclaims and I turn to face him with Madi at my side; we all laugh.

" Oh, so I see that we don't get special treatment." Murphy huffs jokingly

" No! Just Bellamy's my favorite from all the stories." Madi explains and I turn pink, again.

" Okay. Madi, before any introducing- did you bring the herbs and bandages. We need to fix them up, now." I tell her forming a serious face and seconds later she runs off to get the bandages, returning a little while later.

" I'll get a fire started, Madi if you can start working your way fixing people and don't take any crap off them when they tell you they're fine." I tell her glaring at Bellamy who smirks wildly back at me.

So here's another update mostly because I'm going on holiday in the morning so I won't be updating as much xxx
