Clarke's POV:" What did you do Clarke?" Niylah asks, watching all the guards run up the stairs as fast as possible and a few minutes later the doors are locked and the prisoners are forced to keep working in the dark.
Immediately, I move away from the work station, climb up the stairs, onto a platform and hit the floor with my foot. Slowly, people start to turn to my direction and I hear gasps but non of them can move- they're chained to the floor.
" Wanheda?" Whispers arise from the crowd and a part of me is warmed that they remember my name, even if it's a deadly one.
" We have 1 hour without cameras or guards so we need to make the most of it. I'm aware that there's barely half of you here but-"
" Clarke?" A voice speaks out but I can't see where from
" Mom?" I ask looking around," Where is she?" I ask everyone and they turn around to the far side of the room, in the corner-" Omg." I whisper and run down the stairs.
I run past all the people that were listening a moment ago and straight to find my mom. Scanning people's faces, as I make my way further towards the back of the room until I see her.
Her features are the first I notice; she's aged so much, you can tell with her eyes and the odd streak of grey hair.
" Mom!" I smile and run over to her.
Instead of hugging her, I drop to her feet and find the bolt that's trapping my mom in her place. Slowly, I take out the gun hidden in my belt and smack the butt of it against the lock until I hear a snap and her chained feet become free as well her; I tuck the gun back in my pocket. Quickly, I stand up and hug my mom. It feels so new yet so old to hold her in my arms. She's stroking my hair and crying onto my shoulder and I'm crying too.
" I missed you so much." I sob onto her shoulder. She uses her bruised hands, cups my face and breaks from the hug to see me fully.
" You've grown up so much." My mom whispers," How was space?" She asks lightly and my face drops for a second but I pick it back up quickly. She doesn't need to know I didn't go.
" Fine but what about you?"
" Survivable having Marcus helped." I frown a little as she looks into my eyes
I didn't have anyone.
" Did you get my message?" I ask her, changing the topic
" The girl? Yeah. I haven't actually seen her but luckily she was put into a cell with Marcus and Octavia so that really made it easier."
" So she's not here?" I ask seriously
" I'm sorry but they change everyone 12hours. We have a few left." She tells me and I nod," Go on, get them all free." My mom smiles and I nod, turning around to free other people as my mom does and quickly, everyone begins to help out.
Zeke's POV:
Behind one of the machines, I'm fixing the electricity circuit. There's three of us in the room together: Matt- he's been here from the start with me but he went into engineering; there's also Kady and she's a specialist in dealing with the working pits. I wouldn't want to piss her off, but she left about 10minutes ago to go finish some work. It's just Matt and I.
