"Depression? That's not a trait, that's an emotion." Logan responded, he thought only personalities were allowed in the mind space. He just couldn't wrap his head around it, which made him insanely infuriated. He always understood things so simply.

The older trait twiddled his thumbs, not keeping eye contact as he spoke. He immediately felt guilty, he should've told them about this earlier.

Roman noticed his strange behaviors, "Patton? Are you not telling us something?"

Anxiety's head shot up, worry shooting through him as he imagined the only personality he semi-trusted lie to him.

He bit his lip and looked up at Logan, knowing he may be the most upset. "Don't be mad at me? I never expected this would happen. I just believe in you guys so much and-"

"Get to the point, Morality." Logan interrupted.

He sighed deeply, flinching at Logan's harshness. "If personalities, for example, me, have a problem doing their job, it doesn't get finished."

Anxiety tapped his foot against the floor, "Dad, we know this. What about it?"

Patton gave a sorrowful glance at the younger trait, he looked almost sorry.

"Yet, sometimes, something even worse than not getting the job completed happens. It's called 'emotion stimulation', where an emotion, becomes a personality. It's given too much energy to feed off of, because we are not using it."

Roman looked at Anxiety, and suddenly he embraced him in a hug. Anxiety was surprised just as much as he was confused.

"This is why Thomas has been so...well... Depressed, it was never you and I'm so sorry I doubted you." he said, pulling back and stroking Anxiety's cheek, causing him to blush.

"I'm sorry as well. I should have never turned on you." Logan said, Anxiety gave a thankful nod, then suddenly realised something.

"Wait, are you saying Depression is going to live in the mindspace now? Have a name? Contribute as much as we do?" Anxiety responded, fear flushed through his eyes.

Logan looked down at the worried trait, taking pity on him. "I'd imagine it wouldn't happen too quickly, but I believe so from the data I just collected from Patton. His room still needs to generate, and I'm assuming he still needs to figure out his real name. Like we all did."

Anxiety looked up at Patton, tears going down his face. "D-Does this mean he'll torture me forever?"

Roman watched the exchange, suddenly anger infuriated within him. "Patton, is there anyway we can stop this? You're the oldest trait, so you must know."

Patton smiled hopefully, which made Roman look grateful.

"There is, actually. Don't cry Anxiety! I promise we will not have it living here with us! For the next six months, we need to contribute as much energy as we can, we have to make sure it's done before Depression learns it's name, or it's here to stay."

"How do we do that?" Logan responded, not liking that he was the one asking questions.

Despite the obvious annoyance on Logan's face, Patton gave an excited smile.

"We have to start seeing Thomas more, everyday and not spend so much time in the mind space. Doing this will make Thomas feel loved, logical, creative, and more careful. He'll be confident."

Prince jumped up excitedly, which caused Anxiety to laugh. "Yes! I've been meaning to show him some voice techniques!"

Logan sighed while Patton giggled, until logical side noticed something.

"Anxiety? Are you okay with going and seeing Thomas?"

All of the traits watched Anxiety as he looked up upon hearing the question, he smiled at how they were all looking at him.

"Of course I am."
