He sat in the window looking out. The forest was black, the sun had set a long time ago. The moon had barely given enough light to touch the tops of the trees. He could see them, the creatures in the forest. They were starting to come out. Monsters and beings tasked with guarding this place.
He shook. Not from fear. Not from the cold. He shook from longing, he wanted to be in his arms. The familiar blue eyes gazing at him. He wrapped his arms around himself. He wanted to go home.
The door opened and the male turned. "Are you ready Mr. James?" Blood red eyes met his but he refused to show fear. "I will not do it." The man seemed to sigh," That is. Unfortunate." He snapped his fingers. Two vampires came for the smaller male. "No. No! NO!" They dragged him from the room as he screamed.
He was tied to a chair and then the man with the red eyes walked in. "Will you do it now?" "No." He nodded to the man in the corner. He came towards the male and pulled out a needle. It was filled with a dull purple liquid. His eyes widened and he fought against his bonds. "I think you know what this is yes?" He grit his teeth and glared at the red-eyed man. "Vervain."
"Will you do it now?" "Never!" "Very well," he nodded to the man again. The silver eyed male fought against the ropes again. The needle was injected into his neck and the liquid entered his veins. His screams were instant and filled the room.
He panted, the last bit of vervain leaving his system. Hurry and save me, Mav. He closed his silver eyes.
