"Vic, you need to rest." Maverick looked at him exasperated. "I'm not resting until I find him." He grabbed the black haired male's shoulders," And when you do find him you'll be too tired to do anything." The alpha looked at the ground. "I'll keep a lookout, so you get some rest." Maverick took one last look at the door and reluctantly went to his room.
Grayson sighed and sat on the couch, he ran a hand down his face and closed his eyes, his head ached. Arms wrapped around his shoulders and he leaned back into the redhead. "He still being difficult?" He nodded," Not that I blame him. If it were you I would be doing the same thing." The vampire hmmed and nuzzled his neck.
"Gray!" Lindsay ran in, out of breath. The brown haired male looked up," What is it, Lindsay?" Grayson's brother had an envelope in his hand. He took it and looked it over.
There was nothing written on it save for a name, Maverick. Corbin snatched it out his hand and smelled it, his eyes widened and he was gone. A banging noise followed. "Maverick!" Grayson scrambled up the stairs after Corbin. The sleepy male opened the door, he blinked at the sudden light from the hall.
Corbin shoved the letter in his face. When the scent hit his nose he was wide awake and opening the envelope. He fell to his knees," What does that mean?" His voice cracked. Corbin gently held his hand out, Maverick held it out for him to see but refused to let it go. Castle.
"He's in a castle somewhere. This must have been the only way he could have sent a clue." Corbin turned to Lindsay, he had come up the stairs too. "How did you get this?" "It was sent by an owl." "Where is it?!" "Outside. Valerie has him." Corbin ran outside using his vampire speed.
Maverick was right behind Corbin. The two smelled the animal, looking for clues. Grayson came back outside with a paper and pen. "It's somewhere with a lot of evergreen trees." He took another breath," And a lot of creatures." Corbin nodded in agreement.
"Vic, here," he handed the paper and pen to the alpha. He quickly scribbled something on the paper before tying it around the owl's neck. The bird chirped once and looked at Maverick before flapping its wings and flying away.
"We have a clue now." Maverick, Corbin, and Grayson sat in the living room. Maverick's eyes shone with a new light. "But we aren't any closer to finding where he is," Grayson's comment made his eyes dim. Grayson pat his shoulder," We'll find him Vic. I promise."
Corbin and Grayson made Maverick go back to bed. His eyes had seemingly permanent eye bags underneath. The dark purple contrasting with his pale skin. The two decided to try and sleep themselves.
Corbin laid next to Grayson with his head on Grayson's chest. "I want this to end soon." Grayson ran a hand through Corbin's hair," So do I. I just want us to find Silas and this be a happy ending." "I miss my brother," Corbin's voice cracked. The wolf grabbed his chin and kissed his lips. "It'll all be okay. I'll make sure of it."
The red-haired male smiled and kissed his lips again," I love you." "I love you too." He turned over and wrapped his arms around Corbin's waist," Let's try to sleep. We have to get up early to help Vic search some more." He snuggled into the wolf's warm chest.
