The sounds of fighting surrounded all sides. His packmates growls and heavy breathing filled the air. Maverick heaved in a breath and looked around. Monsters and creatures of all sorts dropped like flies. But even as they were killed, more would fill their spot.
He jumped and ripped one of their heads off. Finally clearing enough of a way, he ran through. Take care of everything here. Yes, Alpha. He ran as fast as his legs would take him.
For the most part, he was able to dodge the beasts. Then one managed to slip past his packmates and tackle him. He picked himself back up and got a good look at the monster. A rabid werewolf gazed back at him, its fur matted and patches missing. He growled at the beast and charged, nothing was gonna stop him from getting to his mate.
The beast dodged his bite but his slash made its mark and cut the monster's flank open. Diseased blood boiled out the wound and landed on the ground, burning the greenery below. Maverick growled, low in his throat, and charged once again. The beast swiped at him and he tucked his legs under him and slid under his paw. He didn't see the second beast behind and felt its jaws latch onto his shoulder.
He roared and latched onto the throat of the second one, killing it instantly. Blood poured out of the wound. Charging at the other one, he rammed into it, pinning it below him. Mav locked his jaws on its neck and shook his head, breaking it.
Blood coated his mouth and oozed out of his shoulder, dripping to the ground as he ran. It felt like he was making no progress. The monsters seemed endless, as soon as he killed or incapacitated one, another would take their place.
He roared as one managed to bite his flank. Turning, he bit the beast and ripped it off. His paws slipped out from under him. A moment to breath. He could hear the sounds of the beasts dying. But he could also hear the sounds of his packmates dying.
Rain began to pour from the skies. It was already hard to stay on your feet by the sheer numbers of the enemy, now they had to worry about slipping in the mud. He rose to his feet and lunged forward.
Silas could hear them outside, the dying wolves. He was weak from lack of blood. The only thing he could do was lean tiredly against the window and watch the battle happen.
The sound of a loud howl caught his attention and he searched for the source of the sound. A black form darted across the battle field, helping the wolves where needed as they made their way slowly towards the castle. His heartbeat sped up and he knew, he knew. Tears sprung to his eyes and he pressed his hand against the cold glass. "Mav," his voice cracked.

I know guys, long time with no update. But here's one and it's not even that long. To be honest, I don't know how to continue this story without rushing it like I did The Alpha Is A Mute. I'm rewriting The Alpha Is A Mute and it won't be published until it is finished. I'm gonna take my time and pace myself. If you have any suggestions for this one then please share! I love to hear from you guys! Stay lovely! ~Tyki
