"Alright, one.. two.. seven.. and..." The choreographer shouts behind the music as he demonstrates the next part of this choreography they've been learning for the past week.
All of the boys noticed the miscount, but still remained focus and prepared, except one.
While the others were mentally prepared and doing well, Winwin, on the other hand, has been struggling these past few days. It wasn't because the choreographer keeps missing so many counts, but his attitude towards the upcoming event.
Although he wasn't afraid of showing his talent, the thought of massive dorms cascaded with countless amounts of fans cheering and big stages pervaded him. 'The smaller, the better' was the way he rolled, and being the event is held tomorrow, his anxiety hit him more as each day reduced.
"Alright, take 10." The choreographer concluded as he walked outside of the room.
As soon as he walked out, all the boys flopped to the floor in agony. They were extremely tired and scared at the same time, it seemed like Winwin wasn't the only case of stage fright.
"I'm so tired Hyung" Mark cried as he crawled next to Taeyong.
"It's okay, we've gotta keep going if we want to make it." Taeyong proposed while stroking the poor boy's hair.
"Ya! We've done this before, get over yourself." Haechan yelled, causing conflicts between Mark and Haechan yet again.
Winwin was still getting use to these provocative two. They bicker from morning to night, then suddenly hug and embrace each others company. Almost like the main roles in the movie Revolutionary Road, although they were less violent of course.
"We can't let our sunbae-nims down. We're the opening act, we have to hype the fans." Johnny soon declared to interrupt the two.
"But aren't we all tired though, right Winwin?" Mark suddenly asked.
Winwin was shocked because he wasn't much of a talker.
"Umm.. I guess so?" Winwin answered briefly while hiding the fact that he was actually drop-dead tired.
After that, the only sound heard was intense breathing echoing throughout the room. All the boys were too exhausted to continue the conversation.
They then continue with to practice soon after the choreographer returns.
Throughout the intense practice, before the boys knew it, the time was 10:00pm and they were still going hard at it. Sweat, whines and cries, the boys were all feeling the intensity of the night.
Winwin, however, didn't want to disappoint his choreographer and kept his head high and controlled his face expressions. To distract himself, he would look deep into the mirror facing his reflection and picture millions of other people staring at him to keep him awake. He was at the brink of exhaustion.
I can't let the boys down.
I can't let Sehun down.
I can't let myself down.
While lost in his train of thought, he accidentally miscalculates his steps and bumps into Jaehyun, quickly adjusting himself and moving to where he's meant to be.
He returns to his intense sight into the mirror, suddenly feeling his legs gathering pins and needles.
His stubbornness was overpowering the amount of sweat from his head. He wouldn't stop, he couldn't, after the amount of times he was told he was useless, he stood his ground.
