Something seemed off.

It felt more "off" than his usual "off".

Everyday, you couldn't tell the difference.

But tonight, in this very moment, at least I could tell.

---

'Confusing', Winwin thought. He could not decipher what kind of Yuta would appear everyday, let alone tonight.

Although he is his roommate, they are still unable to connect.
Although they have had good days together, it's still hard for Winwin to approach him.

He couldn't take it anymore, he didn't want to take it. From what he has witnessed, he wants to know the real Yuta. If he's not always distant, if he's not always close, what could he possibly be?

"Just talk to me." Winwin mutters behind the tree, unconsciously.

"Hello..?" Yuta exclaims in a calm manner, making Winwin jolt into his hiding position. The ripples in the water come to a halt, allowing for the moon to reflect its' beauty.

Winwin slaps himself, "No" He assures himself and walks out to expose himself. "It's just me." He calmly replies.

"Oh.." Yuta responds, then returning to throwing pebbles into the pond.

"Ahh! That's what it was!" Winwin thinks in his head.

However, with his remaining stamina, Winwin slowly walks towards the latter.

"Tough night, huh?" Winwin asks, Yuta returns to glare at Winwin, fixing his facial expression and returning back to his pebble tossing.

He's not replying.

"Ummm, ...., how long have you been here?" Winwin asks, still no reply to be heard as Yuta is fixed to throwing the rocks and pebbles into the pond.

At this point, Winwin is doing anything just for Yuta to respond. Unfortunately, his efforts were unsuccessful.

As Winwin's short temper rises, he starts to tense up and request, "Look, if you need to talk about anything, I can help you.. Maybe.. Kinda?"
Winwin conflicts with himself as he knows he can't manage things like this.

"Why?" A small voice asks. Winwin catches Yuta looking intently at Winwin.

"Because you were also there for me. Remember?" Winwin replies.

Yuta replies, "How could I forget?"

The proximity between Winwin and Yuta felt so close, it felt like all walls between them seemed like they were shattered and beginning to break down. But physically, they were still a fair distance apart.

"Then why aren't you talking to me?" Winwin carries to hold the conversation.

"Do I have to?" Yuta claps back, Winwin begins to tense up a bit more, picking up the pace as he proceeds to walk towards Yuta.

"I mean, It's only me here right now, we can talk. I mean, we're friends now, right?" Winwin argues back, he tries to calm himself down as he doesn't want to spark a collision.

"I know I helped you out back then, but I don't need or want any help right now." Yuta states, but Winwin was not taking it.

"You're sitting next to a pond, throwing rocks into the water, nearly towards the middle of the night, who are you trying to fool?" Winwin abrasively asks.

"I don't need to fool anyone if they're already foolish." Yuta claps back, raising a brow while looking directly at Winwin as he speaks.

Every last piece of Winwin was at it's peak, the last thing he needed was conflict. But since things heated up, he couldn't hold back anymore.
