She had purple bruises down her shins and on her arms. Her pale, porcelain skin allowed almost every bruise to rise to the surface adding another point to the map of injuries. If only she hadn't been so clumsy, she often told herself, than she wouldn't be wearing violets from head to toe. Though purple is a lovely color, she would have liked it to stay on the coloring pages rather than on her bony arms. There's no use in having a fit over something that can't be fixed so she lets time do it's healing. But, she always manages to pick up violets regardless of what she does.
