Heartbreak

Ariana's POV:

I ran back into the venue to find Lily. All the fans had left by now so I thought I'd find her with the rest of the boys. Tears building up in my eyes, I started to feel really overwhelmed and nostalgic. Suddenly I feel like I'm going to faint and I hold onto the wall for support.
"Are you alright?" I hear from behind me.
I manage to turn around and standing there is Zach. My heart feels like it's breaking as I stand there unable to speak.
"You look horrible Ari" Zach says trying to calm me.
"Oh thanks for the compliment" I say jokingly.
I turn away and carry on walking to find Lily but then...

Zach's POV:

I watch Ariana attempt to walk away but then she suddenly falls. I rush to her side and check to see if she was breathing. She was breathing but she wasn't responding. "Ariana please don't joke about like this" I say shaking her in panic.Unfortunately it wasn't a joke and as soon as I realised this I started to shout "SOMEONE HELP!!!"
Jonah and Lily instantly rushed out of a room and towards me.
"What's happened?" Lily asks worried.
"I don't know" I say as tears start to form in my eyes. I put her head in my lap and I start saying her name. Then she slowly starts to open  her eyes.

Ariana's POV:

I look up to see Zach, Jonah and Lily surrounding me and then I remember what I'd just in countered. I start crying as I grasp onto Zach shirt.
"Calm down" he gently says and brushes my hair out of my face. 'Jack used to do that' I think to myself making myself even more worked up.
Zach stands up with me in his arms and carries me over to a chair. He places me down carefully and kneels beside me. He then ushers Lily and Jonah out of the room so it's just us two.
"What happened?" He asks concerned.
"I think I had a panic attack" I respond.
"But why?" He asks confused
I look up from the floor and into his eyes.
"I saw... Jack and...Aspen... kissing" I stutter.
Zach looks at me stunned before saying "where is he?"
"Probably still on the bus" I answer confused on why he's asking.
Then he stands up and storms out the room.
"Zach no!!!" I shout as I run after him but I'm too late. Zach's already out of the venue and making his way to the bus. I try to run but still feel faint. "Zach please" I scream getting his attention. He gives me a firm look like he's questioning his next move but then turns back and continues on. We get onto the bus to find Aspen and Jack talking. They don't acknowledge our presence at first but when they do Jack starts to say " look Ariana I'm so...".
Zach punches Jack right in the face and I cup my hands over my mouth shocked. Aspen backs away and Zach goes to hit Jack again but I step in between them.
"Zach please don't" I beg.
"He doesn't deserve you Ariana" he says sympathetically, taking my hands in his.
I feel the sparks again. The same feeling I had when we almost kissed. Why didn't I see this before. I feel stupid right now. I look at Jack and his face is covered in blood. I then look at Aspen and she looks too scared to move. I pull away from Zach and make my way off the bus and start walking back to the hotel.
"Ariana it's not safe to go on your own" I hear Zach say from behind me as I decide to ignore him and carry on walking.
"You're stubborn you know that?" Zach says now walking beside me. I look at the floor as I walk.
"Thanks for defending me Zach but I don't think you should have went to that extreme" .
"I would do anything for you Ariana. I will always be here for you if you want me to or not so you're going to have to get used to that" he says annoyed.
"Look I don't need protecting Zach" I say getting angry.
"But I want to" he says and picks my chin up and kisses me. We stand there kissing not wanting to break away from each other's touch but then Zach does. "You're freezing here take my hoodie" he says taking it off and handing it to me and for once I don't argue. He walks me all the way back to the hotel where I drop onto the bed and fall asleep.
