Nasty truths

Ariana's POV:

In the moment i didn't know how to react. As soon as i saw Zach's baby face i was expecting the rest of the boys to emerge from behind but no just Zach. My emotions ran away with me for a second and next thing i know I'm clinging on to Zach like a child would to their parents. Once we finally let go i couldn't detach my eyes from him. He seemed more muscular, taller. He breaks the silence by saying, "I've missed you." I look at him unsure whether to believe him or not because being honest i wouldn't of missed me. I reply with "I've missed you too." We stand there awkwardly not knowing what to say to one another, almost like we're strangers. My eyes start filling with tears again as i wonder what he's thinking about. "Please don't cry. Unless they're happy tears of course," he says with a little smile he always does. I force out a little giggle to reassure him he's done nothing wrong. I then gaze into his beautiful brown eyes and soon enough we're both making eye contact. Suddenly i look away and say "I think i heard my mom shout me i better go." He looks at me confused knowing that I'm trying to make excuses. "Well come over later then, I'm sure the boys will love to see you." I don't say anything, i just nod, as i don't want to start an argument. He turns away and makes his way back down my drive way and i watch until he's out of sight.

I throw on some baggy clothes, put my hair up in a messy bun, brush my teeth then I'm out of the door and slowly approaching the boys house. As i become closer to the front door my hearts pace fluctuates and i start to feel dizzy. I stand there holding onto the wall wondering if this was a bad idea but then... "Ari you came." Zach opens the door wider so as to welcome me in. I step in and sitting there are the boys. They glare over and suddenly become fixated on me. I begin to get nervous, wanting someone to break the awkward tension. It's Jack. "Ari what has happened to you?" I hear his voice breaking as he says this and by now i have no more tears to cry so i just stand there. "Shut up Jack!" I hear Jonah mumble. "You can sit down if you want Ariana," Daniel says sympathetically whilst getting up from his seat. "Thanks but i think i should go." "Of course not i need a good catch up with my lil sis." Corbyn says gently putting his arm around my neck then guiding me over to the empty seat. I sit down, the boys still watching my every move. I begin talking about their new music and eventually we start to rear onto another topic which doesn't involve me. I begin to feel calm as we start making jokes and goofing around like old times but then Jacks phone rings. "Sorry i have to take this," he says before rushing out of the room. All the boys watch him as he walks out obviously knowing who he's talking to. "What's so urgent?" I ask confused. "I think we should let Jack tell you" Jonah says nervously. I look around at the others for answers but i don't get any. I stand up agitated by the not knowing. In addition of me getting up too quick i start to feel lightheaded and pull my hands to my face in attempt to hide it. Jack walks back into the room and holds onto my arm as he says "Are you alright?" I remove my hands from my face, look up at him and say "I will be when you tell me who you was on the phone to." He looks at the others for support then finally says "It was my girlfriend."
