"Sure," she smiled.

I returned a fake smile as I thought, what have I gotten myself into?

Now Brittany would be gone, but Ari would be back.

As I was about to get in the car, I saw a girl with long, wavy, messed-up brown hair.

But it couldn't be.

"Ari?" I shouted. She looked at me, then vanished.

I made a 'hmph' sound and got into my car.

"I've got to go get different shoes, my feet are killing me," I said.

"Okay," she buckled her seat belt as I drove away.

When I got in the house, I was quick to grab some flip-flops. I was about to twist the doorknob when someone coughed.

I turned around and standing there was someone I'd never thought I'd see for a while.

"Jeremy, I've missed you so much," she said weakly.

"How are you here?" I asked, confused.

"I don't know," she looked panicked.

"They're coming.."

"Who's coming?" I asked.

"He-he doesn't give second chances,"

That was the last thing she said before she fainted.

"Ari?" I screamed. "Ari!"

I watched her limp body fall to the floor as I ran over to her.

I put my hand to her cheek and rubbed against it. It was so soft and familiar.

Suddenly, adter a couple of minutes, her eyelids fluttered open.

"You're okay," I said in a voice on the verge of crying and laughing.

She put her arms around my neck and brought her body to eye level. A tear slipped from her eye as she hugged me.

"Where have you been.." It faded as she hugged me tighter.

"I don't know where I was..it was cold..dark...it felt like.." She paused. "Death."
