Hi everyone! Author's note at the start for a change. Before you continue to read, I want to say a huge thank you to everyone who has read, liked, or left any supportive comments on the chapters of Kiss Me Better. Here you stand, in the astronomy tower. Once an allegory of Severus' and your love, now a place you could only associate with death. The death of Dumbledore, so sudden and inconsolable, polluted the dreary tower with grief and heartache. Heartache which also stemmed from your phone call with Severus Snape, in which he presented you with a blunt speech on how he never loved you. You were merely a pawn in Snape's game of life, to distract your inquisitive self away from his scheme. A scheme in which would hide his fealty to the Dark Lord.
Here you wait, wait for the day where the world will be free of the iniquitous Voldemort. He will face the famous Harry Potter, and the boy who lived shall defeat him. Him, and all of his devoted followers. Followers, which include the likes of the man who you thought to be your chosen one. That one who broke your heart, smashed it to pieces, only to fix it lovingly, and then stomp and smash and shred it again. Yet you knew that, if a battle did take place, you would have to face Severus. Either that or take him in as a prisoner so he could live out the rest of his life in Azkaban. When the time comes, will you be able to face your demon, Severus? Only time will tell.
And now
Here you lie, waiting to fight.
Standing by the boy who lived.
Standing against the man you love.
