Persephone's Search

Chapter Ten

Riley and the crew were a few feet from Trey's gate. Half of the crew were going to the back entrance to quietly get rid of the guards in that area while Riley, Jake, Skitz and Rickey and a few more of the guys were going to blaze thru the door. As they approached the front gate the two guards spotted them Rickey and Skitz quickly took care of them while Jake and Riley headed up to the house. The rest of the guys took care of the other three guards than ran out the house when they made it to the front door.

Trey tied Persephone's feet to the bed. Persephone was silent. She was trying to mentally transport herself to another place. She tried to remember how it felt to be in Riley's arms. Trey had placed his hands all over her body and right now she just felt dirty. He kept babbling on and on about how is was going to make her remember him more than the white boy. He was now completely naked and about to place his dick into her mouth when they heard shots fired.

"What the fuck is going on?" Trey said as he began to put on his clothes. "Stay where you are at I will fix this then fix you."

"Trey that's a sign you don't have to do this, please let go, just untie me" Persephone pleaded.

"Hell naw, I want to see you and my beautiful artwork when I get back. I might even add some more to it." Trey said as he tapped her on one of her breast and she flinch. He heard two more shots, grabbed his gun and bolted from the door.

Riley searched everywhere for the baby first. He wanted to make sure that Phoenix and the girl were safe and out of harm's way before he searched for Persephone. One of Trey's men came at him and with one punch he laid him to the ground. He wasn't the one Riley wanted, who he wanted was Trey. The problem was he did not know what he looked like.

Riley ran up one side of the stairs kicking in every door he came upon. He was on the left side of the top floor and he kicked in the last door on the right side. He found a girl cowered in the corner of the room trying to cover herself and someone else apparently. Riley touched her shoulder and she screamed.

"Don't touch me." Carmen screamed.

"Hey, hey I'm Riley." He told her.

Carmen stood up and in her arms was Phoenix. Riley set his eyes on his daughter for the first time since she was born. Riley reached for her and Carmen placed her in her father's arms. Riley couldn't help but cry when he laid eyes on her, she was beautiful. He kissed her forehead and gave her back to Carmen. He ran to the door and yelled for Jacob. "Jake up here now, come on we have to move fast." Jacob ran up the stairs and into the room. He took a quick look around and saw a girl holding a baby and saw his brother's face. Jake walked up to the girl, leaned in and kissed his niece. "Jake remember what you promised." Riley said. Jake took one look at Riley, "I got you brother." Jake said, he turn to Carmen when he heard a few more shots downstairs; "Look darling when we start down the stairs I want you to keep your head low and keep my niece covered. Riley turned to Carmen, "Where is Persephone?"

"She is on the other side of the hall, the room with the double doors. Take this," she said handing him a bundle with clothes and shoes, "Last time I saw her she was naked. Carmen ran right behind Jake, when the guys saw who Jake had behind him the formed a circle around them in case there were any more guards outside.

Riley looked out the window as he saw them place Carmen and Phoenix safely in the van and drive away. As soon as he saw this he ran to the room that Persephone was supposed to be in. As soon as he kicked in the door what he saw broke his heart. On the bed was Persephone spread eagle with both her hands and legs tied to the bed. He immediately pulled out his knife and cut the ropes off of her. Persephone smiled at him, "Riley you're here. Is it really you?"

"Seph baby I'm here. What has this bastard done to you?" Riley said softly touching her face.

"I can tell you exactly what I did to her, cracker." Trey said standing at the door holding a Glock 9mm in his hands.
