Chapter Five

Riley couldn't sleep. The bed smelled of her. He grabbed her pillow and inhaled. Dear God life could not be this cruel to continue to take away everything and everyone he loved. He tossed and turned around some more then turned to look at the bedside clock, 3:3o am. He decided to get out the bed. He put on a pot of coffee and looked at the kitchen. The dishes from the day Persephone was taken were still there. He began to clean up since there was nothing else he could do at that time of the morning. Once finished he poured himself a cup of coffee and began to go thru his text messages on his phone from Seph, He went thru pictures of her he had taken while she slept. She was amazing to him. He never thought he could ever feel this way about someone and now to think both her and their daughter were missing was more than he could take.

He walked to Phoenix's room and saw all of his daughter's things and began to cry. The overwhelming sense of lost was more than he could take and he cried his soul out till he fell on the floor of the room. When Phoenix was taken he held any emotion in to make sure that Persephone was ok and taken care of, but now with her being gone too, the sense of helplessness was pouring out of him with every tear.

Riley was still on the floor when Jacob and Skitz entered his house. Jacob had been trying to reach him for hours and when he couldn't find him he decided to go to the house. When Jacob found him his heart broke at the sight of his brother. He didn't know how to help his brother but he knew that Riley was no good to no one in the state he was in. "Riley come on brother get up. Get up!"

"Get up for what you don't see the house is empty. My girls are gone. I can't find them. I don't know where they are. Just leave me here Jake; leave me to my misery, let me die."

Jake began to pick him up from the floor and said, "That will never happen as long as I am alive. Now get up or I'm going to drag your ass outside and hose you down. Do you really think Seph needs you like this? How are you going to get her back looking and acting like this? Or are you punking out and letting Trey keep both of your girls?"

"Jake don't you realize he has them both in his hands right now and I'm stuck with my thumbs up my ass because I don't know where they are at" Riley said finally getting up from the floor. "I'm lost brother and I don't know how to find my way or them."

"Well aren't you in luck that you have me and the rest of our brothers. Pride Brothers stick to each other like fucking glue."

"Thanks Jake you. I really appreciate it. Let me go hit the shower and I'll meet you at the club" Riley said.

"Alright but if you don't show in half an hour I'm sending the entire MC to look for you."

Persephone paced around the room thinking at what she could do to escape. The house sounded relatively quiet. She pressed her ear on the door to see if she could hear anything. She heard footsteps approaching, she backed away from the door. She expected Trey to come thru but it was not him. Before her stood a very young lady, a little too young to be a play thing for Trey. The Young lady seemed shock to see Persephone.

"I am sorry ma'am. I'm new here and I was just exploring the house. Dear God I'm going to lose my job on the first day by being nosey" she said.

"Shh, Shh, don't worry I won't let that happen. Who are you?" Persephone asked.

"My name is Carmen, I'm the new nanny." she answered.

Persephone let out a sigh of relief, at least someone was caring for her baby girl. "How good do you keep a secret?" Persephone asked her.

"I don't want no trouble. This job pays me very good."

"I won't get you in trouble I promise. Look that baby in there is my daughter and she was taken from me when she was three days old and I haven't seen her in three months. The man that hired you he is my ex-husband. He is abusive and he took my baby to get back at me. I'm not going to get you in trouble by trying to escape because I know what could happen to you but I do need your help."

"Look ma'am. I have no family and finding this job has been the best thing for me. I will be homeless if I don't work."

"Carmen I promise that when I leave here I will take you with me and you will have a job and a place to stay."

"How can you promise that when you are locked up in here?"

"Because the father of my baby is looking for me. He is not going to leave me here. That I can promise you."

"Are you sure that you can take me with you?"

"That I promise you with my life."

"How can I help you?"

"First my name is Persephone and you can call me Seph. And for right now whenever you can I just want to see my baby."

"I can do that but everyone is supposed to be back soon. The first chance I get I'll bring her to you."

Persephone walked to Carmen and hugged her tight. "Thank you very very much. We both will get out of this house of hell."
