Persephone sat in the room for hours thinking on how to get out of there. She had to find a way to get in contact with Riley. She had to let him know where she was. Maybe if she got hold of a cellphone she could tell him to have Skitz pinpoint her location on the computer. That was it but whose cellphone. It would be too risky to ask Carmen for hers. Knowing Trey he would be checking it every time she was on it. Hopefully he hasn't figured out that Carmen has found here.
Suddenly she heard footsteps approaching and her heart jumped hoping that it was Carmen bringing Phoenix to her. Instead in the doorway stood Amaryllis. She had this smirk on her face that Persephone desperately wanted to knock off of her face. Amaryllis stepped into the room, turned on the light and closed the door behind her. "I thought you and I should talk" she said.
"Talk, talk about what?" Persephone said coldly.
"You probably have figured out that I helped Trey. Of course you do. Now do you know what you need to do?" she said in a very cocky tone.
"What is it that you think I need to do and for what?"
"First off you need to get it through your insignificant brain that you and Riley do not belong together. You are going to stay here, Trey will deal with you. As far as your daughter, I can make sure that she doesn't end up on the side of the road, I'll leave her on the doorsteps of somebody's house. When I return to Eloy I want to make sure that there is no trace of you to remind Riley. He is mine and you and your brat will just get in the way."
"When are you going to realize that Riley doesn't want you, even if I never saw him again he will never be with you hoe. A desperate hoe at that. You had to drug him just to have sex with him. Do you see how desperate and pathetic that makes you look? Poor Am she has to steal what she can't get on her own."
"I don't have to steal him he was mine until you brought your tired, mixed breed ass started parading yourself in front of him."
"Just wake up and realize that it will never be you. I have Riley's heart and I have his daughter, neither will you ever have." Persephone said as she walked up to her.
Amaryllis became so angry that she slapped Persephone and they began to fight. Amaryllis tried her best to gain the upper hand but Persephone was stronger than her. As they were fighting Amaryllis phone fell out of her pocket and she didn't notice it but Persephone did and immediately kicked it across the room before she realized it.
Amaryllis continued to try and get the upper hand on Persephone. When she realized she couldn't, she began screaming like a bat out of hell. Soon enough Trey and a handful of his goons were at the door. "Enough" shouted Trey, "What the hell is going on here?" Persephone backed away from Amaryllis and she immediately played the victim to Trey. "Trey she was trying to escape and I was trying to stop her." Amaryllis said.
"So you trying to run off to that white boy" he said as he slapped her. Persephone absorbed the slap and laughed at him. "You really are dumb." Trey slapped her again. "Like I said you are dumb to think that I would run off anywhere and leave my daughter here. You are dumb to believe anything this trick would say. But then again you two are perfect for each other. Let me see my daughter NOW TREY!" Persephone said.
Trey motioned for his men and Amaryllis to leave the room and close the door behind them. His adrenaline was racing thru his veins. He needed to control her, to submit her then possess her. Persephone saw the look in his eyes. It was the same one he would get when he would beat her half to death and then have his way with her. Now she was faced with the painful decision to either let him and work up a plan to get her daughter and now Carmen out of there or beat him to death and not make it pass the first two guards outside her door.
Her heart was torn. She did not want to betray Riley. She absolutely did not want Trey touching her in that way. Trey began to circle her and every now and then he would pull a strand of her hair up to his nose and smelled it. The way he enjoyed it made her skin crawl. She began to sing a mantra in her head, "Phoenix, Riley, Carmen, Phoenix, Riley, Carmen" she repeated it over and over to herself, reminding her she had to get him out of there quickly so she could use the phone she hid.
"Come on Trey, get it over with. If you are going to beat me, get it over with," she said to him.
Trey forced her head back by pulling her hair back. "See that attitude right there is what has you in this predicament. You thinking that because you were with that white boy you are something."
"Why are you hung up on him being white? It was not about that. It was about how he didn't beat me. He treated me way better than you ever did. See even thou you stomped our kid out of me and the doctors told me I would never have any more that man treated me so well that the universe saw fit to give me that little girl that you won't let me see."
Trey threw her down to the ground. Persephone looked up at him. "Why do you hate me so much? All I ever did was love you and all you did was mistreat me. Why did you do all of it?"
"BECAUSE I COULD AND CAN." he yelled. He began to punch and kick her. She absorbed the blows, she knew how to turn her body so it wouldn't hurt. She thought about fighting back, but if she did that he might find the phone and she needed to call Riley soon.
