Batman/Spider-Man: Secret Weapon [DEFENDERS OF EARTH BOOK III]

Aftermath

Spider-Man groaned. He could barely move his arms, as Batman grabbed him and brought him to his feet. His cape was torn in a lot more places than before- his suit, too had more of the sub-armour showing.
They were standing in the snow, small pieces of debris showering all over them. He stretched, and look at the base. A big chunk of it had been torn off, almost.
He heard a groan, and turned back around. Spawn was on one knee, shaking his head. Batman held out a hand for him, and Spawn took it. He brought him to his feet, and Al nodded in return.
"What was that?" Spidey asked. Spawn turned to him.
"A teleport." He answered. "I enveloped us in my cloak, and transported us outside."
"Why just here?" He asked. "Why not back in New York?"
"My teleport only covers a few miles and places I have seen before." He answered. "So how we're getting back is beyond me."
"I have a way." Batman said, pressing a few buttons on his gauntlet. From behind them, the TriWing roared to life, and slowly rose to them, constantly shuffling around due to the loss of a wing. It began whirring, and suddenly parts of the ship began moving around, dropping certain parts and connecting others. Soon enough, what hovered before them was the Batwing.
"Okay, how?" Spidey said in disbelief.
"I only need two of the three wings to turn it into the Batwing." Batman responded. "It'll take us quite a few hours, but I can get us back to New York."
"Thank god for that." Spidey said. "Becoming some sorta Spider-Hermit isn't exactly on my bucke- what's that noise?"
From behind them came the sound of helicopter blades. They turned around to see several military helicopters fly above them, towards the wreckage.
"When I went to take off their security" Batman explained. "I contacted the government about what was going on. They got here a few minutes quicker than expected."
Spider-Man shook his head. "Never cease to surprise me, bats."
