Poor Mudhoney, they didn't get nearly enough attention. They're actually the ones who got Europe hooked on grunge. And I'm sure if your a fan of grunge, you know the song "Touch Me I'm Sick", which is probably their most popular song. Also, the lead singer, Mark Arm, is often credited with first using the word grunge as an adjective to describe the music scene in the northwest at the time. Of course, further research has confirmed that obviously he wasn't the first to use the term to describe the music, but many like to think so. Mudhoney had everything, the loud, fuzzy sounding guitars, the pounding drums, the rough sound. Their first EP was also one of Kurt Cobain's favorite albums. Mudhoney are still going strong today, and I was going to go see them in July in Minneapolis, which is like a 15 hour drive from where I live, but then I had to go to my cousins graduation party in New York, which is about 4 and a half hours from where I live.
