The untamed

Chapter 2

It was midnight when I heard a rustling in the bushes behind me and further away but not far enough the sound of hoof beats. I looked around making sure all the herd were still there. I whinnied as loud as I could waking the herd up. In an instant my father was beside me. As the hoof beats neared my father shouts to the herd
"Run!"
We all turn around and run but I'm frozen to the spot to scared to move, I hear my mum shout to me
"Neddy, come on run"
I want to run but I can't, but as the horses and riders burst out of the bushes I know I have to go with the herd. I spin around and catch up with the rest of the horses. As the herd runs forward I am struggling at the back I'm only one year old and not a fast as everyone else and I fall behind. I turn my head looking at the riders, I shouldn't have, they were to close and as I turned my head back forward I felt a rope tighten around my neck and I get pulled back! I kick out and rear striking out with my front hooves; one of the riders swings another rope above his head and swung it on to my left fore leg. I shout at him to undo it even though he cant understand me and I kick again as another rider on another tamed horse swings another rope on to my back legs. All of the two legged ( the humans) pull the ropes that are on me right at the same time and I fall to the ground. I scream for the herd but I know they don't hear me, they probably don't even know where I am.

Midnight's POV
We have just stopped running from the two legged, we have everyone with us, wait, no we don't where's Neddy? I run up to Skye and ask her if she has seen our sweet daughter; she hasn't. I'm now I'm really worried

Really sorry about the short chapter but I sort of wanted to end where I did thanks for reading btw the horse in the pic is chippy
