I woke up to a loud bang as the humans prepared to feed the horse. The bang turned out to be one of the girls dropping one of the metal feed bins.
I stood up, not really wanting to, then I realised I was in the paddock ( the humans left me out for the night) and not wild. I started to panic kicking and rearing at the gate and the fences. As I kicked and kicked at one of the post I heard a crack! I kept on kicking and I heard more cracking and splintering as the wood gave way. As I have the final kick the wood completely gave in and fell to the ground. I whinnied in triumph and galloped out of the pen and down the road/lane. I kept on galloping but had to come to a sudden halt as there was a gate and fence right in my path! I turned around and kicked it but it didn't even move a millimetre. I realised that I wasn't going to break like the other one. I backed up ten strides and came cantering towards the gate, I gathered my self up and sprung over the metre thirty gate! I stopped and turned around, I was finally free again. I heard a loud bang from the barn then two people shouting I decided that it was now I needed to run. I spun and galloped off away from the barn away from my new friends but towards my wild life!
---------------
It's about an hour later and I decide to halt I'm really tired, I've been running for an hour none stop so no wonder really. I am still scared that the humans will catch me and lock me in again.
I decide to settle down for awhile to eat
sleep and drink.

The next day

I've been wild a whole 24 hours now and i feel normal like how I used to feel, I'm not trapped, scared someone's going to ride me, break me. I'm now in a meadow it's huge it's got long lush grass and an amazing waterfall that rushes and goes into a still pool at the bottom! I have save a long journey ahead of me to find my herd, I decide to set off to find them again. I'm not sure which direction I go towards the sun, my mum had always taught me that if I ever got lost then I should follow the sun as the herd will always be going towards it.
---------
It's been a while and I'm cantering along a wooded path I remember the feeling of the wind through my mane, my hooves pounding rhythmically against the trail. I feel like someone is watching me following my every move. I look around my surroundings but all I see are trees and the birds high in the sky. I carry on trying to ignore the feeling; it keeps on coming back. I decide to stop and rest hopefully I was wrong and nothing was following me. I needed rest if I was going to carry on my journey to my herd.
