The car stopped in front of a restaurant. Judging by the grand entrance and warm golden lights, it looked expensive—no surprise. Oppa always preferred fancy places.
"Dara, just wait for me at the entrance, okay? I'll park the car," he said.
I nodded, stepped out, and walked toward the entrance of the restaurant.
"Good evening, Ma'am," the guard greeted politely.
"Uhm... good evening, too," I replied with a small smile.
"You're going alone, Ma'am?" he asked, glancing behind me.
"Oh, no. I'm waiting for my brother," I said gently.
"Ah, I see. Okay, Ma'am," he responded, bowing slightly. I bowed back and moved aside.
While waiting, I found myself watching the people walking by. Their clothes, their gestures, the way they carried themselves... definitely high-class. It felt like stepping into a world I hadn't belonged to in years.
"Dara, let's go," Oppa called, interrupting my thoughts once again.
"Ne," I answered softly.
I followed him inside. The restaurant was even more luxurious from the inside. Crystal lights, elegant wooden furniture, well-dressed staff moving around with perfect posture—everything smelled like money. Even the air felt expensive.
But something else caught my attention.
A girl.
A very familiar girl.
She sat at a small table near the corner, wearing a cute white dress with a black belt. Elegant, simple, very her. She looked beautiful... but something was wrong.
Her head was lowered. Her shoulders trembled. And... was she crying?
My heart tightened.
I slowly walked toward her. She was so lost in her emotions that she didn't even notice me standing beside her.
"He's a stupid jerk... I hate him..." she whispered between soft sobs, wiping her tears.
I couldn't help but smile sadly. Of course. Only she would cry like that in public and still manage to look adorable.
I quietly reached into my bag, pulled out my handkerchief, and held it out to her.
She lifted her head slowly, probably surprised that someone approached her. Her eyes landed on the handkerchief first... then on me.
"Need some help, Miss? I can offer you my hanky..." I said with a soft smile.
Her eyes widened instantly.
"D-Dara??" she breathed, her voice filled with disbelief.
"Miss me?" I teased lightly.
Her lips trembled, and her eyes watered all over again—this time not from sadness, but from shock and emotion. She nodded.
"Miss you too... Kwon Yuri..." I whispered as I wrapped my arms around her, hugging her tightly.
After all these years...
My best friend was finally in front of me again.
