[Sandara's POV]

"Mommy!! Mommy!!"

I looked up to see my son running toward me, his little legs moving as fast as they could.

"Yes, Jino?" I asked, smiling.

"Buy me ice cream!" he said, his grin stretching from ear to ear.

"Later, baby, okay? I need to talk to Ahjumma here first. Wait for me," I said, reaching out to ruffle his hair.

"Okay!! I'll wait in the park, Mommy!" he shouted, before sprinting toward the small park nearby.

[3rd Person POV]

Jiyong watched quietly from a distance. The young boy ran happily toward the swings, excitement shining in his eyes as he glanced longingly at the nearby ice cream parlor. Jiyong smiled softly and walked over, purchasing a cone before approaching the boy.

He knelt, bringing himself to the boy's level.

"You like it?" he asked, holding out the ice cream.

The boy's eyes darted suspiciously from Jiyong to the treat.

"It's free... It's okay," Jiyong reassured him gently.

The boy crossed his arms. "Mommy said don't accept anything from a stranger."

"I'm not a stranger," Jiyong said calmly, smiling warmly.

"You are. I don't know you," the boy said, standing and beginning to walk away.

"Wait..." Jiyong called softly. The boy paused and glanced back.

"I'm not a stranger... to you," he added, his voice sincere.

The boy tilted his head, curiosity fighting caution. "Huh? I don't even know your name... Did you know my Mommy? Or my Daddy?" His words made Jiyong's forehead crease with worry at the mention of "Daddy."

"I know your Mommy," Jiyong replied carefully.

"You're Mommy's friend?" the boy asked, squinting.

"Y-Yeah... if that's what you want to call it," Jiyong said softly.

"But I still don't know you," the boy said, beginning to walk again.

"Wait—please, wait," Jiyong said, moving closer. The boy stopped and faced him, arms folded.

"Mister, I don't know you. Please leave me alone," he said firmly.

Biting back his anxiety, Jiyong pressed on. "B-But I know your father..."

The boy froze, curiosity sparking in his eyes. "Y-You know him?"

Jiyong smiled, seeing the faint hope in the boy's gaze. He could feel that connection—the boy was searching for his father, even if he didn't yet realize it.

"Yes... I know him. I really know him," he said, his voice gentle.

"How can I know you're telling the truth? You're still a stranger," the boy replied cautiously. Jiyong chuckled softly; he really was a smart boy, just like Dara.

"I swear to the saints... I'm not lying," Jiyong said, raising his right hand solemnly.

"Then who is he? Is he here? Does he look like me?" the boy asked eagerly, his eyes shining.

"Yes," Jiyong replied, smiling as he studied his son's face. "He's here. I can say you've got his eyes and nose."

"Oh... really? But you didn't answer my first question! Who is he?" the boy pressed, leaning closer.

Jiyong took a deep breath, his chest tightening with emotion. "I am... I am your father. I am your Appa, Jino."

He opened his arms, enveloping the boy in a warm hug.

The boy froze, shock and awe spreading across his face. For the first time, Jino felt the presence of the man he was always searching for—a connection he never knew he'd have.
