[9] 'ONE'

[YURI's POV]

I smiled at the two people in front of me, watching them exchange sweet smiles. I felt relieved. Dara and Jiyong were finally moving on, and it seemed they had nothing left unresolved between them.

"So, how did the two of you meet?" I asked with a gentle smile. Donghae looked at me, returning the smile. Honestly... he was really handsome.

"Well... we met in a very unexpected way," he began, his tone warm. "I didn't expect we'd meet again, but we did, and then we became friends... and eventually, I courted her."

"Yah!! You shouldn't be telling everyone that story!" Dara shouted, embarrassed.

"Love, you shouldn't shout like that... you look like a monster," Donghae teased, giving her a playful pinch on her cheek.

"Yah! Stop pinching my face! It hurts!" she exclaimed. He stopped immediately when he noticed her cheeks turning bright red.

"Did it really hurt?" he asked softly, concern filling his eyes. Dara just nodded, and he lightly touched her face again, gentle and caring.

"Mianhae..." he whispered quietly. Oh my gosh... they really were cute together.

"You know what? The two of you really do look cute!" I said with a laugh. Dara glanced at me, smiling.

"And you..." I said, pointing at Donghae. "...you're very sweet. Thank goodness Dara found a sweet guy. But listen carefully—if you ever hurt her, I swear on my ancestors, I will hunt you down and feed your flesh to the sharks in the ocean!" I said dramatically. Donghae simply nodded, taking it seriously.

"Yuri-ah... don't scare this fish," Dara said softly, trying to ease the tension.

"I'm not scaring him—I'm just giving him a warning," I replied. Donghae nodded again, this time with a slight smile.

"I promise I will never hurt or make Dara cry. Or else... I will feed my own flesh to the sharks in the ocean," he said, raising his right hand solemnly. I nodded and smiled at them, satisfied.

"Excuse me, I better go. I have some important things to do," I said, glancing toward the bitter-looking person sitting beside us. He stood, bowing politely, though irritation was clear in his eyes.

"Oh, sorry, Ji, if we wasted your time. You can go now," I said, my voice polite but firm. He just smirked at me, a look I couldn't quite read.

"Uhm... Mianhe, Jiyong. Thank you for your time. See you next time," Dara said politely.

"Yeah... see you next time," he replied, turning his gaze toward Donghae and smiling. Donghae simply nodded. Then Jiyong walked toward the restaurant door. What a jerk... I watched him leave, and for some reason, it felt like the final goodbye.

"Goodbye, Jiyong... and it's for good," I whispered under my breath.

"Yuri," Dara said, pulling me from my thoughts.

"Wae?" I asked.

"Are you okay? You're spacing out," she said softly.

"Yeah... I'm fine," I said, forcing a smile. "...Well, is Donghae the one you wanted me to meet? Because I can say... I like him for you."

Dara looked at me, then glanced at Donghae.

"You didn't tell her?" Donghae asked quietly. Dara just nodded. I frowned, now thoroughly confused.

"Should I know something?" I asked, tilting my head. Dara looked at me, then back at Donghae, who nodded again.

"Uhm... that one... well, it's not Donghae," she finally said.

"Wait a minute... who is this 'one'?" I asked again, curiosity piqued.

"You'll meet him... maybe tomorrow," she said with a small smile.

"So this 'one' is a 'he,' huh?" I asked, raising an eyebrow.

"Yep," she confirmed, nodding.

I just nodded in response, feeling my curiosity grow. Who was this mysterious person she was talking about? I had a feeling tomorrow would bring answers... and maybe even a little chaos, knowing Dara.

A short update for you guys...sorry if I make you wait....Mianhe....I tried my best to make it long, but I just can't; many things have been happening this past few weeks, and I just can't update early or make a long update.

But I will make another one more update this week.
