The things we dont say.

They didn't say anything when Felicity looked up symptoms of what was going with her.

And they didn't say anything the next day when Oliver and diggle were in starling general waiting outside the doctors office for Felicity .

And Felicity didn't say anything when she walked out of the office , she simply handed them a piece of paper, with a devastating look on her face.

Oliver didn't say anything when Felicity practically lunged herself at Oliver , tears falling down her face. And in all honesty , a couple made their way down his as well .

Oliver and dig didn't say anything when Felicity declared nobody treat her different , they just nodded in silent agreement .

Thea didn't say anything when she had found the crumpled up piece of paper in the trash at the foundry.

She just marched over to Felicity and wrapped her arms around her , holding her for what might be the last time.

Roy also didn't speak when Thea shot him a text about the situation , all he did was call Felicity , just to hear her voice again, just to make sure she was there for now.
And he continued to , every Sunday.

And Curtis , oh Curtis , he tried his best to try and not ramble because he knew she had probably already heard it all. So that night they went and got so wasted they forgot there names at some point.

Nobody said anything but they were all thinking it , thinking about how badly they wanted to hurt it. But they couldn't , for it could not be hurt. It only hurt others and their loved ones.

And everyone hated that it had chosen Felicity , the light , the fire , the only pure soul out of all of them.

But still , no one spoke .

Felicity didn't speak when Oliver showed up at her doorstep claiming he loved her , and he couldn't lose her and that he wasn't gonna waste the time he had with her.
All she did was step aside to let him in.

And nobody spoke when Oliver and Felicity strolled into the foundry the following day , hand in hand.

They all wore smiles and smirks on their faces , but didn't speak.

Nobody spoke when Oliver not-so-subtly moved into Felicity's apartment.

For once , they had all forgotten about why they weren't all happy and smiling.

That is until one day Felicity didn't show up to work , claiming She had a slight cold and it would be all better.

But it never got better , it only got worse.

And this was the point where light met dark.

When hero met Monster

When good met bad

Felicity didn't have the same energy , she didn't ramble as long. And she didn't have that same electricity in her .

And it most certainly didn't go unnoticed when the absent leaves became every other day.

And still , everyone's mouths were shut .

Because that's what she wanted , and that's what they gave her.

Peace.

So when a night came where Oliver was sitting in a chair next to their bed , while Felicity lie in it , he didn't say anything when she tugged his hand and said weakly " I love you , but I can't fight this. It's already won."

That night he just laid with her in the bed , giving her all the love in him.

So now here they were , three months later. Standing in front of a black casket wearing black suits and skirts . All of them still not believing the sight in front of them.

Yet no one said a thing

It was pouring cats and dogs when Oliver was walking back to the car.
And he stopped in his tracks when a white flower petal landed on his shoulder.
And he smiled , knowing even though it was raining she was there , she was still the light in the dark.

And Oliver said aloud to himself " I love you too."

So really , no . Felicity didn't lose , because she was still there , just in a different way and they all knew it.

Felicity had overcome it , and it's name was cancer.
