Belle's POV
I was getting ready for another date with Leo. I adjusted my necklace when there was a knock on the door. I furrowed my brows. 'Who would come at this time?' I walked to the door, expecting some door to door salesman. Instead, I saw Ethan. I let him in. "Hey, uh... what's up?" I closed the door and sat beside him on the couch. "I, uh, wanted to hang out. Y'know, we're best friends that haven't seen each other in like ever." I sighed."Ethan..." I whined, "you know I have a date with Leo in ten minutes." He rubbed his eyes. "Can you take a rain check?" He exhaled sharply. "We can hang out tomorrow. I promise." He made a face that looked a lot like a nine year old. "Please!" He begged. "We have to hang out today. Or else everything will be ruined!" He exclaimed, his inner child showing through. "Why would everything be ruined?" He smirked, a child like twinkle in his eye.
"It's something really special but, you have to hang out with me to find out what it is." I rolled my eyes, picking up my phone. "I hate you." I dialled Leo's number.

Ethan and I giggled along to some stupid conversation in a random Starbucks when someone came up to us. "Holy, you're CrankGameplays!" 'It's a fan...' We smiled, took pictures. Well, Ethan and the fan took pictures and they were off. But the fan gave me dirty looks. No reason to it, just gave me dirty looks. They didn't want me to be in the picture, so instead I took it. I sighed, sitting down in our booth again."What's wrong?" I shook my head. He looked at me with even more worry, I still shook my head. He nodded, understanding that I didn't want to talk at that moment. "Okay, what was so big that we had to hang out today? Starbucks is open tomorrow too." He shook his head, chuckling. "It'll take about twenty to thirty minutes to get there." We got up, walking to his car.
We stopped at traffic lights when he turned to me. He took something out of the side compartment of the door. It was a blindfold. I had gotten even more confused. "Just trust me. Turn around." I did so and he tied it over my eyes. Soon enough, the car started moving again. I was excited but kind of scared.
Ethan was right. It took about thirty minutes to get to where ever we were. I heard a door open then shut. I then felt the door to my right open. "I'll get your seatbelt." Ethan quickly said as he hovered over me for a second. He helped get the belt off then helped me get out of the car. He shut the door, startling me a little.
He put one hand on my shoulder and the other held mine. We started walking and after what felt like forever, we stopped. "Okay, take the blindfold off." He said, his smile practically yelling off his face. I took my blindfold off and what was in front of me almost made me cry.
It was the National End of Summer Carnival (NESC). We would always come to this carnival in Maine as kids, teens, and after graduating. Every time it would stop in Maine, we would go. No matter what. I looked at Ethan, we shared a smile and I went in for a hug. This was the best thing I've seen.
I pulled back, speechless. "T-Thank you." I said quietly, tears welling up. He pulled me into another hug, cradling my head. "Don't cry please." I pulled away, wiping my tears as I giggled. "Now, come on. Let's go in." He said, grabbing my hand and running towards the ticket booth. "Two please." He said gingerly to the man behind the counter. I was about to take some money out when Ethan stopped me, shaking his head. He payed and we walked into one of the most beloved places to us.
Well NESC, guess who's back...
