Vanished

The drive

    Halle awoke to the sound of a car driving on rocks and gravel. She rubbed the back of her head and felt a bump. She blinked a few times and looked up. It was dark, the room had little light, she was bumping around, like she was in a car. She looked around confused, she started to hear muffled voices coming from the wall next to her. Am I in the trunk of a car? How long was she asleep? Hours? Days? It didn't matter, all that mattered was figuring out what was going on. The last thing she remembered was cooper telling her to watch out, then a sharp pain in the back of her head.
What happened to her? Was she kidnapped? She wasn't for sure, but she was sure that she is in danger. Her head was hurting her so bad, she decided to sleep and hoped that all of it was a bad dream.
    Hours later, Halle awoke to the sound of someone hitting the car, and foot steps. Her heart raced, she tried not to move or make a sound. The trunk door opened and the bright sun nearly blinded Halle. As her eyes adjusted to the light, she saw 2 men. The first one was tall and buff, the second was small and skinny, like a kid.
     The men wore ski masks on to cover their identities. They both smiled an devilish smile.
   "So, the princess is awake! Sleep well?" Said the tall man sarcastically.
Halle glared at both men, "what do you want with me?"
The second, smaller man folded his arms, "you will find out in time."
Both men laughed and slammed the trunk shut. Halle jumped at the loud bang. Tears started to stream down her face. She lay backed down and curled into a ball, and cried.
As she laid there, she thought of many questions like, am I going to survive, and, where are they taking me? She felt alone, she needed to see her family and cooper. Then it hit her, where was cooper? Was he ok!? Did he escape before they got him? After all, he did warn her when she was knocked unconscious. After a while, she cried herself back to sleep.
Later, she awoke with a start as a splash of water hit her in the face. Startled, she jerked up and hit her head on the underside of the trunk.
    The taller man held a dripping bucket, "Get up, we got some food and water." He handed her a water bottle and some crackers.
"Why are you giving me this?" She said, looking at the food.
"Because we need you alive, now shut up and be grateful!" The short one seemed suspicious to Halle.
    The tall man put his hand on the trunk door, "we should be there shortly."
    He slammed the door, nearly hitting Halle's head again. She laid down, staring at the water making sure there was no poison or anything that could kill her. She shrugged, and drank that water in a second. She vigorously opened the crackers, too hungry to think. On he top of the cracker packet, there were multiple pictures. The first was her and cooper at the park by the wall ball, then next was her eating dinner  at her own house, then other was at school, and the last one was her bedroom. What did this mean? Why would they give these to her? She set the pictures down, ate the crackers, and fell asleep.
