Locked Away

Demons swallow
My very being
They're locked away
In a broken cage
I try to protect
Thee from hearing
The things they wish to say
For their words will escape
In the sound of my voice
You won't like what they wish to say
But they are me
All in the same
Thus why I keep them hidden away
They are not me
But they are part of me
They're hanging on
Like a blood-thirsty leech
